Two keenly-awaited trailers were released this week – Anand L Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
Both trailers have crossed 1.5 million views on Youtube, but the ratio of likes vs dislikes is significantly better for the trailer ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.
Dil Dhadakne Do – 2 million views – 11,226 likes – 1284 dislikes.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns – 1.5 million views – 7,763 likes – 194 dislikes.

We weren’t too impressed with the Twitter-hyped trailer of ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. It looks like a film that deals with conflicts of high-society people, something that wouldn’t appeal to people outside metro cities. It should have been way shorter than 3 minutes too. However, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara too had a similar trailer with random scenes from the film.
Since a lot of people were asking for our rating for the ‘DDD’ trailer, we’d give it 2.5 stars.

The Sunidhi track in the DDD trailer sounds brilliant! I cann’t wait for its music!
DDD is more grand n slightly over the top but Tanu weds manu 2 trailer is much more fun, simple, heart warming and relatable. It also has much better acting from kangana, madhavan n his friend who played a villain in dabangg 2.
Tanu weds manu returns could be a bigger hit (if it has good content) since it’s more relatable to the masses and it seems to have better music.

Undoubtedly Tanu Manu Return. The kind of form kangana is in she can give any other actress (even some actors) run for their money. Only Kangana can give an award worthy performance in short trailer. Whole DDD team on one side and Kangana on other, she still holds better. DDD looked boring and gave yawn whereas Tanu Manu looks very entertaining and refreshing.

I have a smile on my face each time i m watching it!!
Both were not good in my opinion, but DDD was slightly better maybe becaue of my trust in Zoya, Farhan and Anil. I didn’t watch the first TWM so the sequel was boring for me as I did not feel for the characters, but from what I have seen, it is a terrible idea. Imagine a film with 2 people falling in love and marrying and teaching audience about happy endings has sequel in which they break up and aren’t even sad about the divorce.
Tanu weds manu trailer is far superior and entertaining compared to DDD

Some serious double standards by Indicine here. When superstars make big budget pokemons, their trailers are blindly given 4 stars. Come on, DDD was a nice quirky trailer. It deserved at 3 stars. If an absolutely banal film like GTPM gets 3.5, well I can’t say anything more!

Both the trailers were impressive but why compare them.Both belongs to different genres and their target audience is different.You can’t expect DDD’s trailer to be breathtaking but I loved the feel of the movie.But TWDR’s trailer is so unique and strikes the right chord.
