Tamasha has recorded the 8th highest first ‘weekend’ collections of 2015, but the first ‘week’ business of the film is the 13th highest of the year. This, in short, sums up its dismal performance during the weekdays.
The top of the list is dominated by Salman Khan. Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo are the only two films to collect more than Rs 150 crore in its first week. Not only has no films managed to cross the 100 crore mark in its first week, no other film in their entire first week run, has been able to beat the first ‘weekend’ business of the two Salman films.
It’s something that Dilwale would look to change later this month, when it releases in theatres with Bajirao Mastani on December 18.

Even though i m a HR fan but the truth is Hrithik’s ZNMD opened to a poor response,it collected some 7crs on opening day,even less than Sunny Leone’s Jism 2 that year and it had a multistar cast with Katrina,Farhan n Abhay Deol.
Forget 100crs,Ajay Devgn is yet to cross 80crs without Rohit Shetty and Festive releases.
This year has been a very bad one for the industry,only the films with superstrong content have been able to do well.
And even this year Akki’s all films have crossed 80crs.3 of his films are successes of 4.Brothers was’nt accepted by multiplex as well as his mass audience and the costs were on the higher side too,hence it flopped.
So people targeting Akki should shut their mouths up!

More or less the monday figures if not a holiday n a 4th day, shws the merit of the film n then the film rides more on word of mouth.. weekends reflect the star power!! .. so if we analyse tamasha , weekend figures minus the weekdays is what ranbir kapoor’s stardom is if we discount deepika n imtiaz..! .. so ranbir’s effect is +20 cr on a film! And if we give 10 cr to both deepika and imtiaz, rk’s star power is only +10 cr!! N without deepika n imtiaz ali surly this film wld have collected much less even in weekend!
The film may have got some good reviews coz critics tend to give reviews based on reputations also .. n trying to be oversmart as the critics mostly r , they like films which r mostly boring n for pseudo intellectuals n nauseatic.. if u act as a weirdo they think its gr8 acting even if u act as a crazy man when u r supposed to be a deaf n dumb (barfi).. but people cant be fooled time n again!! They do have a much better sense of what is gud n entertaining n acceptable both in acting n as a film!! They knw what rk is doin is monotonous n over the top weird acting!!
