Talaash has collected Rs 46.5 – 47 crores in it’s first weekend as per early estimates. Below are the actuals for the weekend (final figures for Sunday will be updated shortly).
The Aamir Khan starrer opened well on Friday (13.43 cr), picked up by around 12% on Saturday and had an outstanding Sunday of Rs 18 crore nett.
- Friday – 13.43 crore
- Saturday – 15.29 crore (12.3% growth)
- Sunday – 18 crore (17.8% growth)
- First Weekend Total – Rs 46.72 crore
Aamir Khan’s last release, 3 Idiots, collected Rs 37.5 crore (excluding preview shows) in it’s first weekend at the box office.
Considering the genre of the film (limited appeal at mass centres), the weekend collections are very good. If the film holds up well over the weekdays, 65-70 crore first week looks likely.

yes the movie(talaash) is innovative and the main protagonist is so convincing that no other actor would have pulled that grave character so brilliantly… aamir is on par with dicarprio in terms of acting …this is a proof…bt the setting is not that convincing n the sharpness in other faculties would have made the movie up to the international standard….anyways movie is good n aamir is superbly matching with the character..total justice… he is only in international standard..others r in emran hasmi movie standard…thats neutral point of view

Fri #s are adjusted back to 12.-13 every where as it did not collect 14+ crores as estimated.
Life time Talaash BO collection will be 85-90 crores as it is rejected on single screens. Even if it does 90 crores, Lots of respect to Aamir for not inserting ITEM NUMBER & taking easy way out to 100+ crores.
Talaash is suspense movie. 90 crores total collection is very good for non-MASALA movie.

hello Anti Aamir’s first thing is that Barfi was not a suspense movie so its has more reach and Appeal than Talaash and its also have 2 open weeks while Talaash has not and inspite of having this zonar movie he get opening weekend of around 47-48 crore rs which is big achievement and do u have any brain u r saying that Aamir don’t have fan following he is the one who create 100 and 200 cr club and both movies get highest opening when they released tell me any other movie in 2009 where salman and Akshay having 4-5 movies each but not get opening like Ghajini insite of being released in Festive season Blue on Diwali and wanted on EID, Aamir have guts to make different kind of movies while others lacks only two actor having guts like Aamir for experimental Hritik and Ranbeer Kapoor while other lacks
look at Akshay And Salman making same kinda movies again Action and mass apeeal, while i liked ETT and Dabangg but Akshay gave only one good movies which u cant say it’s Akshay because it’s Paresh rawal Movide OMG forget abt that he making nonsense movies like Housefull, housefull2 and Khiladi 786 while srk is only busy to get his foot stronger in domestic bozoffice and failed every time his movies gets big opening but not sustained well and for abt DON 2 its is sequel so having more Apeeal + action zoner so u can’t compare this also to Talaash
ans I have seen Talaash it is very good movie only made for class and intelligent audience and for someone who likes different kind of cinema.
