Sushant Singh Rajput as Mahendra Singh Dhoni: First Look!

The first look of Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays the role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a biopic on the life and times of India’s World Cup winning captain, has finally been revealed.

The actor resembles the young ‘Mahi’ during his early days as cricketer, especially during India’s historic T20 World Cup win in 2007.

Sushant is known to get into the skin of the characters that he portrays on-screen, and the MS Dhoni biopic could be the most challenging role of his career so far. The actor sports a rugged long with long hair. The colour of his cap is the only thing that doesn’t match the dark-blue shaded cap that Indian cricketers wear.

The biopic is directed by Neeraj Pandey who has previously directed films like A Wednesday, Special 26 and the upcoming Akshay Kumar starrer Baby.

Sushant awaits the release of his film ‘PK’ which is scheduled to release in theatres on 19th December.

    1 ms dhoni
    2 tamasha
    3 jagga jasoos
    4 tamasha
    5 ddd
    6 byomkesh bakshi
    7 bombay velvet
    8 brothers
    9 baby
    10 badlapur tevar

  • Why they are making film on Mahendra singh dhoni?
They should make a movie on Sachin Tendulkar
Sushant Singh is very talented m waiting for byomkesh bakshi and Paani

  • Sorry @Arjoon Kapoor I really like SSR, Sidharth, Varun, RK in young brigade but I don’t like ARjoon Kapoor And Tevar is going be flop

  • Not interested. Why to watch a biopic in dhoni? His life is quite one dimensional. After 2005, he is only rising n rising.

  • I hope they include his struggle too. His childhood days, how he made it to the national cricket team. Like Bolly fan said.. his career is one dimensional, one achievement after another.. struggle is what makes these biopics work, because it inspires people.

    I trust Neeraj Pandey though.

  • in present no need to make a movie on dhoni biopic
these biopic will made on current time with these actors
    major dhyanchand- srk ya rk
    sachin tendulkar- aamir

  • @bolly fan I think u forgot the huge no. of overseas test series loss that india hd since 2011wc.so even his Career hs seen bad phases

  • A biopic to look forward to is azhar’s biopic. His life is interesting,multi-dimensional. Emraan is also a great actor.

  • They have chosen the right cricketer to make a biopic .Since Sachin’s biography is already out and people already know so much about him Dhoni is the apt person whose life has always been a mystery.

  • @bolly fan in all my past cmnts I hv mentioned fan among top3 most awaited films.I don’t need support from srk fans bcz then always criticise arjun

  • idea of Dhoni biopic is interesting, small town boy makes it so big…..plus ive heard that Dhoni initially was a soccer player….

But Dhoni is still playing……and probably has another 2-3 years……it’d be better to make a biopic on him in latter stages of his career…….or maybe after he’s retired………

and yes sushant is very talented and the right actor to play dhoni……but still feel its very early to make a biopic on dhoni

  • Too much Biopic spoils the exitement! Paan Sing Tomer, Bhag Milkha, Mary kom, The Darty Pic, the list continues…

  • emmy shd hv been taken instead of ssr fr this dhoni biopic.with ssr this film will do 100cr in best case scenario like bhaag milkha but with emmy it could hv done 300-350 paise business!!!

  • Lack of gud scripts then biopic is a gud option hope audience dnt get irritatd just like over dose of masala films
    plz make biopic on sidhu,srk,rakhi sawant,poonam pandey,psy,mongia

  • @Arjun Kapoor: your movie choice is same as your mind LOL, most awaited movies are:

    1-Bajrang Bhaijan
    2-Baby
    3-PK
    4-Prem Ratan Dhan Payoo
    5-Badlapur
    6-Fan
    7- MS Dhoni

  • @bullsh..fan. U can also add on to this. They can even make biopic on lallus life with the tag line
” yeh khuni bach sakta hai to phir har movie chal sakta hai. ”
    Jai lallu
Ya and actor should be lallu only directed by sajid nadiawaala or baratiya released on Eid and also on diwali. Wow first 100 CRORES I mean over seas for lallu
    Cheers

  • Sureshot flop….peoples are not interested in dhoni biopic. …100 of my friends who loves cricket 90% of them just hate dhoni

  • Sushant is an actor of undoubted quality, the casting seems a bit strange to me. You have to look at least a little bit like the person you’re trying to play.

  • Now this is a guy among d youngistaan I really admire and respect! Just watched one of his movies(don’t know if he did others??) D movie was SDR… And this guy reminded me of SRK in RAJU BAN GAYA GENTLEMAN!!… so young…sweet… Flexible dancing body. Represented d common Indian man…..so innocent but CHALU!!…and above all gave an acting with such ease!!
@srk fans… No offence am not comparing him wit srk but just speaking my mind on seeing 1st time on screen and wat clicked was srk of raju ban gaya gentleman!!
Really has a big future ahead!!!

  • Yeah if its gonna b a tendulkar movie…its definitely has to do with an actor that shares some similar features with him off screen….
Aamir lagaan Khan…. Same height too!! And most vital… They r both PERFECTIONIST in their respected fields of talents!

  • I wonder if they include CSK’s fixing scandal or not, those 11 players (including CSK’s players) are still not named by court’s order, yet Sreesanth and 2 other Rajasthan players got banned for life. CSK’s owner also happens to be president of BCCI and ICC, which is against the rules.

In India, corruption and dirty politics have even left the sports.

  • Anyways, I think a biopic on Sachin, Azhar, and Yuvraj (heard Jr Bachchan is making one on him) would have been much more interesting. They should have at least waited for Dhoni’s retirement before making a film on him. But, I think it’s more profitable for both Dhoni and makers to make a movie when he’s still in peak of his career.
