Surmeet Kaur Sawhney wins Rs 5 crore on KBC

Surmeet Kaur Sawhney from Mumbai became only the second contest on popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati to win Rs 5 crores (the highest prize money given away on the show)

The 37 year old housewife answered all the 15 questions correctly to win the Jackpot.

Earlier, it was Bihar’s Sushil Kumar, a computer tutor earning a salary of Rs 6,000 a month, who made headline when he become the first contestant to win Rs 5 crores.

KBC, one of the most popular television game shows in India, is hosted by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. The veteran actor had earlier tweeted saying “Historic day in many ways today … shall inform why tomorrow..”
