The advance booking of Sultan has opened across the country on Sunday and the response is TERRIFIC. Some shows have been sold out in a matter of minutes.
From the initial reports that are coming in from various exhibitors, the tickets sold in advance in a few hours is more than all films this year. And we are comparing the entire duration (until Thursday night for films that release on Friday) to a few hours of Sultan.
By the time the film releases on Wednesday, Sultan would probably sell 2 to 3 times more tickets in advance, as compared to all other film releases this year. Some are already calling it the ‘best ever advance booking’.
Sultan will also be playing on a record number of shows at multiplexes, with some multiplexes ‘only’ playing Sultan – Wednesday onwards. At most 3-screen multiplexes, all older films like Housefull 3, Udta Punjab, Raman Raghav 2.0 will stop playing after Tuesday, to make way for Sultan. At multiplexes with higher capacity, Sultan will be playing on a record number of shows.

The response, in just a matter of a few hours, is unprecedented. We don’t usually do advance booking reports so early, but never before has our inbox been literally bombarded with messages expressing euphoria over the response to the advance booking of a film.
There hasn’t been a film that has really set the box office on fire at smaller centres this year. At quite a few of these centres, Sultan could be setting lifetime 2016 records on its first day itself – i.e more people watching the film on Day 1 as compared to lifetime of other films.

PRDP ticket price, number of screens and opening day occupancy were more than HNY. Still PRDP failed to collect 45cr on opening day. Because the makers didn’t use red chilli calculator to count the collections!
If SULTAN makers borrow the red chilli calculator and use it properly then even 60cr mark is achievable on opening day. But I don’t think YRF gonna borrow the calculator!
As always I expected Sultan to have a terrific advance booking . The opening day collections will be mind boggling and if Eid is on 6th than Sultan will be the 3rd movie after HNY and PRDP to do 40 CR on first day . Sultan is a sureshot 100 CR Grosser but the final collections of Sultan will give a clear idea of 2016 . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baahubali amazed every1 from 1st shot of trailer not only hindi audience even internationally it appealed even before release. So you are saying that sultan has created itna hungama ki no you have never seen such hype. Trailer was average songs are no where in chartbusters and Salman fan base we already know so what has amazed happened bombarded you are referring about????

if this is the report then it should easily surpass the 1st day collection of HNY.. and should collect arund 50crs..coz of more screens and high tickt prices..if it doesnt it will be a small setback for sultan..bt to be realistic 1st day will be in arund 40-41 and lofetime would be in 210 -220 or it may be in the range of PRDP and HNY..coz from trailer theres nothing new to offer.
If Sultan manages to beat SRK Fan box office collection in 2 days …. mind u in 2 days and not even 3 days, would it be a telling blow on the status of SRK ??? Will he ever be spoken in the same breath as Salman Khan ever ???

Since 2010 ( Dabang), I never missed any salman movie till PRDP. But, This time i have no plan to watch sultan as i do not feel any excitement like usually salman movies did.
Accept or not but its true that some section are really fed up of normal masala potboiler kinda movies.
I will watch MD as it is historical movie
May be i watch Rustoom as it is thriller ( Boring as the trend of biopic is too loud).
I will watch shivay as it has grandeur scale
I will watch Dear Zindagi as it is different & new plot about the journey of a girl
I will watch Dangal as epic sport movie ( like rustom this one is biopic, so liittle boring)
But, there is no reason to watch Sultan except the muscle of salman & cute looks of anushka..
