It’s a true sign of superstardom when the biggest of films from every language and industry, make way to give a ‘competition free’ release for Salman Khan’s Sultan.
In May this year, Shah Rukh Khan decided not to release his film during Eid – a date which was first occupied by his keenly-awaited film ‘Raees’. (Read: Timeline of Raees vs Sultan clash)
Then it was Tamil superstar Rajnikanth’s turn. The makers of his upcoming film ‘Kabali’ were first targeting the Eid weekend, but later decided to release their film 10 days after Sultan.
Sources say, even Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh decided to release his own film ‘Sardaarji 2’ a week after ‘Udta Punjab’ because it would give his film a good 2 week run before ‘Sultan’ hits screens during Eid.
Now, Reliance Entertainment too have decided not to risk their Hollywood biggie – Steven Spielberg’s THE BFG – a film that was earlier scheduled for Eid, will now release on July 15.
Sultan will be the only choice for movie goers for more than week, at almost every movie theatre across India and the film is getting the widest release ever too.
Starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead, Sultan releases in theatres on July 6 2016.

and you have to understand that not every movie could be bad as dilwale and not everymovies could be good as bajirao ??? so if worst case of scenario like negative review protest and less screen srk can did 148cr india and 198cr overseas against an all time masterpiece bajirao who also score more than 180cr in india and nearly 100cr in overseas
than i hope raees may be not bad as dilwale and sultan may be not good as bajirao so it quite obvious that srk easily go ahead in even bad condition
so postpone his movie due to good relation with yrf he is not like maukaprast like other and recent friendship with eid booker he is also know that i can

See why no one dares clash Salman and Aamir. That is why Raees was postponed to 2017 with producers choosing to clash with Hrithik’s film on a small holiday period instead of clashing with Dangal during a long XMas holidays which can easily allocate two films. Yet, the bhagoda never dared clash with Salman or Aamir.
He knows his time is over. So does everybody except those dumb zebras.
It should collect 20cr less then mahenjodaro.

@Queen of Bollywood, Salman created Eid as a festive season for films’ releases. It was non-existent before 2009 as it is today. So, he is reaping benefits out of it.
At least be thankful to Salman for letting your king release his film in 2013, CE, a film that has remained highest grosser of his until today.
And mind it, as Inducing says, only megastars get solo festival releases. Not small time actors like bhagoda.
At least, Salman’s non-existent oriented movies cross 100 crores with much lowered ticket prices in non holiday periods: Ready (Blockbuster) and Jai Ho (semi hit). But what about flop Phanka???
