Producer Ritesh Sidhwani has confirmed that Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who impressed Indian audiences with her work in popular Pakistani TV show “Humsafar”, will be Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s leading lady in “Raees”.
Sidhwani took to social networking site Twitter to share the news and wrote: “Our leading lady in #Raees @themahirakhan @iamsrk @rahuldholakia @FarOutAkhtar,” Sidhwani posted on Twitter Tuesday.
Earlier, it was being said that Sonam Kapoor would play the female protagonist. However, now all rumours have been put to rest.
To be directed by Rahul Dholakia and co-produced by Farhan Akhtar, “Raees” will see Mahira as Shah Rukh’s wife.

I can’t understand some of the people who comment on @indicine, coz I have seen so many of them saying baby, fan, reas and pk are great films while others are saying Tevar, sing is bling will be crap films.realy are they fortune tellers? just bcoz the director of the film has some good films or bad films doesn’t mean his next will be great or bad.I rember during the time of ce and ouatimd so many people saying ce will be bad coz rohit had a habit of making illogical films, and others saying m. luthuria is agreat director and ouatimd will be classic. guess how things turn out.please wait for films to release before declaring them to be either classic or craps. at least pk ,baby and trailers have released but to talk about sib, fan and reas is very premature.

Even if RAEES collects 200 crores, whoever this mahira is will never last in Bollywood for long.
