The much-talked about Shahrukh Khan – Rohit Shetty film, now has a leading lady. Kareena Kapoor who has worked with Shetty in the Golmaal series, is almost certain to play the female lead.
The other rumoured choice was Katrina Kaif, but since SRK and Katrina have already been paired in Yash Chopra’s next and the fact that the SRK-Kareena jodi worked in Ra One, were some of the reasons Rohit Shetty opted for Kareena over Katrina. Also, since Rohit has worked with Kareena before, he shares a good working relationship with her.
Riding high on the super-success of Singham, Rohit was keen to direct the remake of yesteryear classic Angoor. SRK though wasn’t too excited about the remake, due to which the film will now be a light-hearted romantic comedy.
When contacted, Rohit who has been busy working on the script, denied to make any comments.
Sources say, the film will go on floors in the first quarter of 2012 and release early in 2013. The music will be composed by A R Rahman!
