Shahrukh Khan is back with a ‘blockbuster’ after a long hiatus and, therefore, wants to savour every moment of his success with those who made the film such a monstrous hit – the audiences and his fans!
On Sunday afternoon, the actor tweeted “Go to where you feel happiest… so have decided to go and watch Chennai Express in the theatre… with the audience. Want to hear the laughter”
The actor then went to several theatres, interacted and danced with thousands who have come to watch the film and catch a glimpse of the superstar himself.
“I feel happy when I am told … I am proud of you. Makes my chest swell with pride and pop my buttons. Oops! Today is that day. Tired but thrilled,” Shahrukh wrote on his Twitter page.
Released in theatres on Thursday, Chennai Express became the fastest film to cross the 100 crore mark. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film which is now being called ‘Record Express’ also stars Deepika Padukone.

Thats how he is making records by going to theatres and buying the tickets him self. I am sure he would have invested atleast 25-30 cr to buy the tickets him self coz the movie was super crap and srk was looking very old in the movie
By the way it has not completed 100 cr yet as per BOI it is 90 cr including thursday paid preview even if it completes 100 crore today then also it will be 100 crores in 5 days coz it was released on thursday with 800 screen which is as good as full release
my prediction is that on monday it will be huge drop in the collections.. just wait and watch and by 15 august there it will be completely washed out once OUATIM 2 releases.. all time net business 135 crores minus 30 crores invested by srk hence total net is 105 crores.. POOR.

Look guys we understand your frustration, your sallu bhai worked very hard for the last 5 years to make these records ……but the fact is Srk broke all the records with just 1 film.
I am sure sallu will make a new record with ,”the psycho returns as Mental ” But u better hope that “Happy new year” has a weak script like don2, ra.1. …. .otherwise that will also be broken by Srk

The best thing SRK did was to promote the film purely in India and connect to Indian audience. Overseas audience is already with him. But in last few years he’d lost connect with desi audience a bit. Even in his so called lean phase he gave hits and not “average” or flop films!Now he’s back to giving blockbusters!
