Singham Returns has surpassed the first weekend business of the first film Singham in less than a day at the box office. Released in 2011, Singham was one of the biggest openers of the year, collecting Rs 8.5 crore on Friday, 9.5 cr on Saturday and 12 cr on Sunday.
Singham Returns has already collected Rs 32.09 crore on its first day and could beat the first week business of Singham at the end of its second day at the box office.
Singham collected 50 crore in its first week and finished with lifetime business of 100 crore net. Singham Returns should collect more than 100 crore in its first weekend and could go on to be one of the biggest grossers of all time.
The 2011 super-hit released on 2000 screens in India, while the second part, which also happens to be Rohit Shetty’s 10th film as director, has released on 3600 screens in the domestic market.

1) Brand
2) Holiday
3) Superstar
For example if Dhoom3 had Akshay or Ajay it would have only collected 10% less.
However if 1) and 2) are missing then 3) becomes more important for example f Himmatwaka had Salman it would have collected 80 crores.

Srk fans were rampantly promoting the hny trailer on facebook,twitter 24 hours by sacrificing their thirst,hunger,sleep but when finally trailer released, it BOMBED! LOL! hny ke naam pe Players 2,TMK 2! Chuna laga diya Farah khan ne, and these shamesless srk slaves still calling it a great trailer and predicting 300 cr LOL! the trailer was so crap that even the honest srkians were disappointed big time, film will bomb at box office , it wont cross 150-200 cr sure! i expected the trailer not to be great considering farah khan but it was even lower than my expectations and turned out to be a crap. LOL!

One wonders if given the chance the 4-6 stars could overtake the top 3 stars if they had the opportunity to release there movies on Holidays.
