Singham Returns has collected more than this week’s release ‘Mardaani’ on its 9th day at the domestic box office. The film has collected Rs 4.94 crore on its 2nd Saturday to take its grand total to 120.84 cr.
Overall, the film has been fairly liked. The lack of repeat-value could be one of the reasons why the Rohit Shetty film has shown bigger drops after a fantastic weekend at the box office.
Even though Singham Returns had a record-breaking opening day, it’s lifetime business would be less than the first week collections of Chennai Express, Krrish 3, Dhoom 3 and Kick.
It remains to be if Singham Returns can go past the lifetime business of Dabangg (2010) and Bodyguard (2012). Dabangg 2 is out of reach now, as the Ajay Devgn is likely to finish below the 150 cr mark.

- Sunday - 24.55 cr (17% growth)
- Monday - 14.78 cr (40% drop)
- Tuesday - 8.21 cr (44% drop)

- Thursday - 5.47 cr (15% drop)
- First Week Total - 112.59 crore
Singham Two Second Weekend Collections
- 2nd Friday - 3.33 cr (39% drop)
- 2nd Saturday – 4.92 cr (47% growth)
- Total 9 day collections – 120.84 cr
Today its fate will be decided that it goes ahead of 142 or not. Looks like it will struggle to go upto 142.
Today i think will be around 5.5 to 6 cr.
Mardani is dfntly the best Bollywood cop drama in a long time.I will gv it 8/10.gd to see my once fav star rani mukherjee returning to top form.my predictions of b.o. verdicts hardly go wrong

Not seen Singham 2 yet so cant say much about its content apart from that first movies in a franchise/ series are always more affectionately remembered n loved by audiences as was case with Hera Pheri, Jadoo Mil Gaya, Dabanng, Golmaal 2006 and Singham.
I think golden rule should be if you cant out do the original or first movie then stay well clear from remakes/ sequels/ franchises etc etc…
3 yr gap between the 2 movies so collections at the moment indicate that new audience to Singham hasnt materialised just same existing fanbase…. Same happened with Dabanng 2….
Safe to say both sequels were either hastily made n rushed in order to meet a deadline- gap between Rohit 2 and 3 was huge so it built up anticipation n stirred up unprecedented amounts of intrigue n curiosity- hopefully Shetty will learn from this and keep audiences waiting for the next Singham movie and also not rush Golmaal 4 for afew more yrs yet…!

I watched Singham 2 and liked it. I didn’t want to again for it like I did for Singham. Hope u understand it. I didn’t understand why they didn’t continue the story from first singham with Kajal!
Besides, Honey Singh at the end of the movie has angered me a lot. The song is too irritating….
Frankly, Rohit is a 100 Crores director. SRK is 80-100 Crore Star. All his previous few movies earned just over 100 Crores. Both of them combined earned 200 Crores. Deepika was also there for CE.
Only opening day tell the star power, not the life time collection. If movie is bad it will definitely drop, who ever in the movie. Other wise Amir is bigger than all.
I will be surprised if singha crosses 140cr life as Movie is one time watch and missing typical bollywood comercial aspects. Why we are so miser to give the opening credit to Ajay only. All ppl know abt the movie, who is the hero, not the director. Who is in the poster only hero, SRK gave CE opening and Ajay give SR opening. rohit is only responsible for the life time business which will depend on the content…don’t forget Hai ho
It means dabangg sequel was more appreciated then singham because its opening was just 19crs and lifetime 155 now comapre that to singhams opening of 32 crores.Star power does matter people come again to see ur fav star even if if movie is average

without holidays singham returns would have been in the range of 100 to 110cr big drop the movie is huge letdown rohit shetty failed ajay devgan repeated himself and kareena was waste y she was in movie still can’t understand villian sucks
We expected more than this figure..but after watching the final collections we can say that the film ran only because it had a huge national holiday and a partial holiday in its first week combined with the star power of Ajay Devgan Rohit Shetty and brand Singham

singham returns will end below 145cr 3600 screens national holiday + successfull director + brand advantage and still some said ajay is bigger then akki my foot
