Mardaani has shown fantastic growth in business on its second day at the box office. The film has collected Rs 4.76 cr on Day 2, with multiplexes in cities escalating by 45-50% from Friday.
Mardaani is one of those few films in 2014 that has found appreciation both with the masses and classes. Critics too have praised it, what with the film scoring a healthy score of ’62/100′ on our rating scale (Read: Mardaani Critic Reviews).
Mardaani is likely to collect around 5.5 – 6 crore on Sunday. The first weekend business should be around 13.5-14 crore net, which is very good for a woman-centric film.

The movie has now awakened India regarding child trafficking. The talk shows that have resulted is highlighting the point more. This for me makes it the biggest hit ever. Money it earns at the box office is just a bonus. Rani is superb off course.
