Singh Is King released world wide today and the Akshay Kumar movie is off to a historic opening at the box-office. The preview shows across the country were houseful. Shows for the entire weekend are sold out. In North India, its tough to get tickets for the movie at single screens or Multiplexes.
A few multiplexes are showing only Singh is King across all screens. The movie which releases on more than 1000 prints in India looks set to beat the opening week records set by Shahrukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om and Hrithik Roshan’s Dhoom 2.
With a budget of 50 crores and more spent on marketing, Singh is King needs atleast 58 crores+ to be a hit. The craze and hype will ensure 40+ crores in Week 1, how the movie performs in the second week will be the key. Most movies released on such huge number of prints crash in the second week, but with Singh is King even a 50% – 55% crash shouldnt affect its box-office outcome.

The craze in Pakistan is unbelievable. Most shows are sold out, it will most certainly go on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.
In UK, the preview shows were sold out.. The craze for the film has to be seen to be believed. Akshay Kumar is a big star in UK and the movie is set to beat some serious box-office records. The numbers will be out by Tuesday morning (IST). So stay tuned.
Going by the initial reports our Box office Collections Prediction for Singh is King in India
Week 1 – 46 crores
Week 2 – 21 crores
Week 3 – 11 crores
Rest of the weeks – 10 crores
Total : Around 88 – 90 crores. (Superhit – Blockbuster)
So the question is, can Singh Is King beat the overall Nett Gross of blockbusters like Dhoom 2 and Om Shanti Om? If Singh Is King goes on to exceed the intial prediction, does it mean he has beaten SRK in the numbers game?

I think akshay kumar beat srk and hrithik the day he made movies like namastey london, bhhagam bhaag etc, he is the first person who has gained succes within a very short period, i think srk over reacts in his movies and truly is a winner and a legend his humour . Ilove himmm

I have watched Singh is King — first dat and first show….the movie is awesome….it shows how large -hearted are punjabi ppl and akshay kumar alias Rajiv ji is lookin damn kool in turban.. even he speaks punjabi better than any actor. We are very confident and believe in Waheguru ji that Singh is King will be d beggest hot of indian cinema till now and srk, hrithik, aamir or salman….no-one can touch the glory era of dis punjabi superstar. Wishes me loads of success n we feel proud that akshay kumar has done film like this.

I don’t really care about this movie. The first half is ok, but i don’t know why i stayed for the second half. i would rather go see the dark knight again for the third time.
SRK is King ..Akki is coming in movies from a long time he tuk enough years to become a star.but he has earned it with respect.But if there is SRK vs AKii .SRK wud be the winner..2 Years ago janeman vs don.n SRK beated both salu n akki.There cant be no one like the great one and that is KHAN.SR
This is a great movie! All the shows in Sydney were fully booked and we were very lucky to get tickets on the last minute (after waiting in the line for hours). The wait was well worth it and the movie was loved by one and all. A fantastic movie with a great underlying message….a must watch. A SUPER HIT ! :-)

movie is not upto mark first half is ok but second half is boaring

i will not recommend you guys to go and watch this movie as it is totally waste of money and time. a well advertised and marketed movie that has been over-rated but is a very very flop movie.
Awesome movie, Not da movie for the stupid persons who likes SRK roaming around with girls. If u really want to see smthng new & entertaining. Don’t think, just go n watch.
I will not recoment this movie to the persons who r lovers of SRK & typical romantic movies.

Singh is King is good hilarious journey with excellent songs and breathtaking action sequences. A must watch for all those who appreciates comedy and thrill

maine singh is king abi tak nahi dekha par jald hi dekhne wala hun kyuki akshay ko main bahut pasand karta hun aur mere liye wo bhagwaan jaise hain.unki koi film nahi chorta.agar aapko akshay pasand hai to jarur dekhe singh is king.
I have been attached to the film industry for quite some time and i am in personal touch with the likes of has Zayed and Shaad and many more.
Truly,Akshay has come of age and is now proving to be a good actor.The taste of the audience has also changed which has helped akshay to catapult is career.

Singh is king rocks mann….It is just best 2 yrs recent film…….Story is simple and sweet…..it will surely have kick the Om shanti om and dhoom 2 also just best of the luck akki….I m big fan of ur……Most of nepali people love u….
When we love someome we do love his movies even if it’s a crap. Now Akshay’s fans r comparing him with SRK, Why?! Akshay is a different character than Shahrukh, so is Aaamir, Salman, Hrithik. Akshay is a good actor.. yes.. but Shahrukh melted millions of hearts from his first movies as he’s very close to everyone’s heart and that’s the secret of him winning the title ( King of Bollywood) including his performance and talents, but Akshay has been acting for more than 15 years I assume and his movies weren’t very successful only since the last few years.
And.. I saw (Sing is King) 1st part today on line and could say that the movie is worthless and to be watched only for Akshay Kumar’s acting. The director is (fooling the audience!) as the King jums from a building and he was wearing a suit then he opens his (parachute)!! How this parachute was hidden under his suit?!!!
Therefore, I’m saying, when people love someone (blindly) and love his movies, they never notice any flaw in his project!

And.. I believe in (reborn) might be true, might happen ’cause no one knows what’s after death, but who told u that I loved OSO?!! Just go back to my review on OSO on this website or any other websites e.g. Bollywood Buzz and read. I didn’t like it and loved only the songs and watched ’cause of (Shahrukh Khan) as I’m a big fan, but I didn’t like him in his role in OSO and considered the movie a crap.

I guess its not so cool as the amount of hype that was created,though Akshay is good enough and Katrina looks stunning as usual.
I haven’t seen Singh is Kingh yet. I think all the people who are comparing Aki with SRK to chill out. They are to entertain us. Both guys are good in their own ways. If u do not like one of them, doesn’t mean he is not good. I don not like SRK, but I like his movies like Swades. because he was good.
I think all of U should comment on the movie and his performance in this movie. Stop comparing. Chill out.
