Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bling has shown bigger than normal drops in its second week, as compared to some of the more successful films in recent times.
The film has collected around Rs 87 crore as per figures released by the producers of the film. It should finish with lifetime business of around 95 crore net.

The fact Akshay’s 4 movies in a row failed to cross 100 crores net is disappointing to say the least, especially in today’s age, where superstar’s films are crossing 100 crore in 3-4 days.
Even if his fans are not used to films like Baby and Brothers, then GIB and SIB should have done better as they appeal to most of Akshay’s fans.
I hope he has a better year next year. Baby was one of my favorite Bollywood movies of 2015.
@phenom salman was not serious about his movies neither he had done any promotions for his movies and all movies in that time was almost supporting actor type of role he was not doing masala or action movies otherwise he would have given blockbusters that time too with good promotions no one can like salman he popularity wad very much high at that time also but he was not serious about his movies where as akshay is doing masala action genre with great promotions and music again he is failing.

after 2008 akki struggled in 2009, then 2010 he was back with a bang with hit housefull then again 2011 he struggled, 2012 he came back with 3 super-hits omg, rr & hf2… 2013 after giving hit sp26.. his films struggled.. in 2014 back with holiday… 2015 two consecutive successful films baby and gib.. brothers tanked badly… and sib going towards avg-above avg… but next yr 2016 he will back….

I knew it would never reach 100cr. And this should be a big slap too those that was overexcited because 4 days was good for the movie :P. Like indicine have said, Akshay should do less films. Not only will that be good for him health wise, because he has such a busy schedule and also he can get in too character better. It might also get his films too 150cr.

Any Filmfare best actor best debut or National Award? Any Atbb? Which world do youlive in? Among actors with 20crs + opening(Hritik RK). 30crs + opening(Aamir Salman Ajay) 40+ opening(srk). Only RK I will say is behind Akki in acting but it’s tentative for now! The rest of the above superstars are miles ahead of akki in acting and pulling audience to watch THEIR MOVIES NOT THROUGH PHONES!! Get a life. At this era if you want to test akki stardom let akki release a movie with varun and see the response. Shame you still live in pre colonial era. Dude wake up and shine your eyes!!!

I think the clash with a superb film like Talvar has hurt it pretty badly.
I watched both SIB and TAlvar over this weekend.
SIB was a decent one time watch,not regressive like PD’s last few movies but not an out and out entertainer.Akki,Amy were good.Overall quite an improvement by PD.. I will rate it 2.75/5
Then,next day I watched this brilliant movie called Talvar.And even after hours watching it I was’nt able to stop thinking about it.Surely the best movie of 2015 for me.
So when you have such a brilliant movie to watch why would one prefer watching just a decent one??
And then you have The Martian which I watched today,the best hollywood movie of 2015 for me too..Obviously SIB would suffer! Big cricket series India vs SA going on too..
These clashes against acclaimed movie are proving very costly for the big movies,last year we saw Bang bang suffering against Haider.
Even as a die hard SRK fan I can call him badshah of Bollywood or king Khan but that does not give me the liberty to stupidly say SRK is better than the rest in terms of acting. He too has his shortcomings even though very little. Does not mean I I say he is better than the rest. I will be very harsh on Aamir and Ajay. While will more harsh with Salman esp in terms of crowd pulling effect. @47 you can praise your star but be mindful with the comments you attach to the praise.

Please get this in your mind that it is not only the fans which contribute to a films’ collections,they are just a small minority group watching a film.It is the common public which has to come out to watch a film.
I can tell you there was’nt a single Akkian on twitter as far as I know who did’nt watch SIB on the first day or lets say first weekend itself except me!
Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected 320crs.It does’nt means only salman fans watched that film.It is the normal common public which came out in huge no. to watch it.

@Sky: BOI wants us to believe that R..Rajkumar a totally crap film,received much more negative reviews than SIB,got only a start of 10crs can do 65crs that too 2yrs ago. Action Jackson,again a crap film with much more negativity can do 58crs but SIB will finish with lifetime under 70crs even after a national holiday benefit.
@Sky: Do watch Brothers on TV or by downloading,then tell your opinion..I am sure you will like it coz u like masala kind of films.At least you will love Akki in it.Though I feel it could have been a better movie had Sid’s character been written better and a bit tighter editing.Still it was a good enough watch.

WOW!!! WHole trade is saying 88 CR as well as producers are saying, but you some idiots are calling only Box Office India collections as Trade Figure!!!!
Honestly speaking I found Gabbar,Brothers and SIB all of them better than a 100cr film ABCD 2.It dragged endlessly in the 2nd half with pathetic acting by prabhudeva and varun,it gave me a headache.
But it had no competition at all till Bajrangi Bhaijaan..i.e for a full month free run. And so it managed to cross 100crs.
