I used to think Alia Bhatt is an over-hyped spoiled brat who has always been fed by a golden spoon by her parents.
But after watching Highway, I am really really really impressed by her acting. I did not like the movie much, but man her performance was extraordinary!! She has a unique almost child-like nuance in her performances which she really carried off well and in Highway the emotional roller-coaster she showed – her tragedy, grief, loss along with her joy and cheerfulness – was infectious. She has that ability only great movie-stars have – i.e. to engross you fully into liking that character. Her matureness she showed in Highway really was deserving of the praise she got!
About Shraddha Kapoor, I liked her in Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. But I have yet to be bowled over by a performance of hers. Although I wish her best!
