The show count of two big films – Mohenjo Daro and Rustom – both scheduled to release in theatres this week, has been a talking point for several weeks now.
On paper, Mohenjo Daro was the bigger film and was expected to get higher number of shows at multiplexes. But the response to the trailer of the two films, has resulted in both films getting equal number of shows.
While the advance booking hasn’t yet opened at every centre across India, Rustom seems to holding a slight lead over Mohenjo Daro. Trade sources say, the Akshay Kumar starrer has sold about 5-10% more tickets than the Hrithik Roshan film.
However, since the advance booking has only just begun, it’s too early to call the advantage in favour of either film.
Mohenjo Daro and Rustom release in theatres on August 12.
Dont be too early to predict the verdict of d film…..On 12th august 2016 Mohenjodaro will collect more than rustom….lifetime collections of Mohenjodaro will be double of that of rustom….just wait & watch haters…..

This scenario looks like it is not a clash between Mohenjodaro & Rustom, it is a clash between Mohenjodaro & Trade/Other Bollywood Stars. Though Hrithik & Akshay are taking it sportingly. Trade and bollywood stars are setting a bad example.
First: What is there in Rustom that other hindi movies did not have. Films like Sultan, Fan, Bajirao, Tanu n Weds, Airlift etc.. all these were good movies but not even a dog came in support of them. Why support Rustom during a big clash? Indicine should explain this.
Second: Was Trailer & Music of MD so bad? Not at all. It was good and fans could still come to watch a Hrithik movie with Average trailer. So why is Trade cursing MD trailer?
Third: Why a big budget and out of box movie like MD is not supported in Bollywood. What are they worried of?
Fourth: The Trade experts which talks about MD story inaccuracy is not talking about the inaccuracy about Rustom which is a story of just 50 years ago? No navi man is supposed to have a Moustache during 1950/60s in Indian Navy how come Akshay have one in film?
Fifth: When in entire India, the shows of MD & Rustom are equally distributed in Multiplexs and MD leading in single screens. How come Rustom have a edge?
Sixth: Why is Zee network not showing any thing about MD. Are they paid to do so?
No one can answer all these. This proves the bollywood industry is sulking that there is no unity among them. Only Khans are allowed to rule. I will not be surprised if the same media gives negative rating to MD to bring it down.
In hyderabad, MD is being played in more screens than Rustom & occupancy is better for MD compared to Rustom.

Zee is producing Rustom. So anything about Mohenjo Daro is not telecasted.

MohenjoDaro will definitely have higher occupancy, which would result in bigger opening. It has also got majority of single screens, but ticket prices in multiplexes are much higher than single screen theaters.
