Shootout At Wadala has passed the Monday test with Rs 4.5 crore (nboc) on it’s first weekday at the box office. The Sanjay Gupta directed film dropped by around 50% from Friday, which is pretty much the norm these days.
The four day total now stands at 31 crore (approx) and the film should end it’s first week with around 40 crore in the bank. Not too bad for a ‘Adult’ rated violent film starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Sonu Sood and Kangana Ranaut.
- Friday - 8.93 crore
- Saturday – 8.12 crore
- Sunday – 9.29 crore
- Monday – 4.5 crore
- Total – 30.84 crore
P.S. Occupancy at multiplexes was good for the last few shows of the day. Did the night shows benefit from the ugly Twitter war between director Gupta and a leading trade analyst? We wonder.
