Shahrukh Khan’s keenly awaited film ‘FAN’ has been postponed to a later date as the makers need more time to complete shooting the pending scenes and visual effects of the film.
Sources say, Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films contacted his friend Karan Johar and gave him the ‘Independence Day’ weekend. Karan will now release Akshay Kumar’s Brothers on 14th August. The film was previously scheduled for a July 31 release.
SRK spotted shooting for his forthcoming film Fan
Karan made the announcement on Twitter “Adi just called and asked me to release BROTHERS on the 14th of August, 2015 as FAN is postponed… gestures likes this make my day special…”
A source close to Yash Raj Films also said that director Maneesh Sharma will be working closely with SRK’s award-winning Red Chillies VFX to create some never-before-seen visual effects in FAN.
Shahrukh Khan will be playing a double role in a film.
As of now, YRF hasn’t announced a new release date for Fan. But it will be interesting to see if they target the Christmas weekend as Rohit Shetty’s film with SRK is yet to go on floors.

there are many directors in the industry who are known for making one kind of films. If SLB is doing movies of one genre or one type, there is nothing wrong unless the film is bad. For me, HDDCS,Devdas and Black were classics while Guzaarish and Ramleela were two good films!

This is absolutely bad decision for Karan Johar.If Srk film release with Akshay Srk film will Super hit. Srk film will release another date his film will also be super hit. So Akshay film will be flop if it release with Fan

To be honest, I found Guzaarish way better than Black. Black is a very problematic film. At face value we may call it a classic but there were many obnoxious scenes in the film, essentially the one where the student is beaten badly by the teacher so that she behaves properly. It was really disturbing to watch that.

I think Akshay Kumar fans(Like me) are the only lucky people in Bollywood as we can watch his movies in theatres when ever we want as his films are released all the time in every genre! On the other hand, fans of say, SRK, Aamir or Hrithik have to wait so much for their movies.. I especially hate SRK(Not because of his acting) because he starts promoting his film from two years back which just makes me angry as Happy New Year released it’s posters and competitions in Jan 2014 while movie released in Oct and teases his fans.
@babaji 30 cr opening day it tough for brothers but it had high chance for 80cr weekend as it has 2 holiday.
Brothers with be a film to watch out for as its akki-dharma first film and second directorial venture of Karan Malhotra after Agneepath.So its great news that it get perfect release date.
About Maneesh Malhotra I don’t think he is a very good director, his BBB was good but ladies vs Ricky bahl and SDR weren’t even a one time decent watch but Fan will be a big taste and could be a superb film too.
@gj007 I think you are too harsh on SLB as apart RamLeela and Saawariya he made good films,I loved Hdccs very much.Black and Devdas were good too,haven’t seen Khamoshi and agujaarish though but they were definitely in good films category though I don’t like his attitude.

Dear complan boy, who are you declare SLB as “class?” Go and check IMDB. All the Hirani films are 8+ rated and films like Ram-Leela are just 6/10. All of Raju’s films have taken the nation by a storm unlike Bhansali.

Your argument is completely baseless. Dark Knight, DrStrangeLove, Schindler’s list are all extra ordinary films with huge entertainment. And I never called Hirani, the best director of Bollywood. I call him best “commercial” director.
Sadly you are a blind fan who brings Swades and Chak De into a discussion from no where. How are these films related to Bhansali? I have time and again praised these films but you’re a BIG fool to include a terrific film like Chak de along with a pseudo intellectual drivel like Black.
And about Dil Se. Yes I love that film, along with Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na. I have watched the later more than 5 times and I love Kundan Shah’s offbeat cinema. Dil Se was also a terrific entertainer. Sadly a fool like you thinks only comedy or romance is entertainment.
The first thing about cinema is engaging the audience and all these movies I mentioned are immensely engaging compared to the deathly dull cliched Bhansali’s films!

I’m also not saying romance/comedy only can be considered as a classic genre.my point of discussion is difference between imaginable scenes and real scenes that made a movie has.according to me a movie can only be considered as classic if it has not any overrated imaginable scenes.
For this I will simply want to give an example of Oscar films.only those film gets oscar whose each and every scenes reprents a real life situations with out a bit imaginary with perfect in everything including acting.just for an example James Cameron made titanic based on a real life situations which got Oscar with IMDb rating 7.7.while avatar is a completely imaginative story couldn’t even nominated for Oscar and got IMDb rating of 7.9 irrespective collections as both did exceptionally wwel because that was us not India.so according to you Oscar juries must be fools.
Also you used that sentence ‘engaging audience’ that means ‘huge entertainment’ according to me.that’s all.you said about IMDb rating doesn’t make any difference,movies like dark knight which is an awesome movie with 9imdb rating still it unable to get Oscar due to it’s virtual world satire Gotham city.while an 8imdbmovir slumdog swept away all academy awards.so can we really call these movies like avatar/dark night series/hobbit series which got high IMDb ratings as well earned a lot over sensible Oscar winning scripts like 12 years a slave/the artist and many more and my personal most favourite even far better than dark knight is the pursuit of happiness and 12 years a slave probably among all Hollywood movies that I have seen

Even you claimed a mediocre performance like pk should win over show stellar performance HAIDER.this is what called is biasedness.if you kindly compare titular character movies like MNIK and pk,then you’ll found a huge overrated act in pk compared to a work class perdormance in MNIK with out a bit out of reality.if you felt a movie dark,boring and couldn’t earn a huge that doesn’t mean you’ll prefer some huge successful movies over these masterpieces.I never said a movie has to be romantic.kindly watch movies like JTHJ/HAIDER/BLACK even titanic,the only thing you have to feel the character’s situation which has probably not having a great story.the only thing it has reality with outstanding performance beg the movie to be a classic with best in cinematography and in every sector.

From 2011 among big movies having big actors I liked 2 as classic JTHJ and HAIDER.but I become JTHJ is a similar kinda classic lke VZ,DEVDAS.but I become a fan of HAIDER performance of especially shahid-vishal jodi a long time after MNIK.
