Shahrukh Khan’s keenly awaited film ‘FAN’ has been postponed to a later date as the makers need more time to complete shooting the pending scenes and visual effects of the film.
Sources say, Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films contacted his friend Karan Johar and gave him the ‘Independence Day’ weekend. Karan will now release Akshay Kumar’s Brothers on 14th August. The film was previously scheduled for a July 31 release.
SRK spotted shooting for his forthcoming film Fan
Karan made the announcement on Twitter “Adi just called and asked me to release BROTHERS on the 14th of August, 2015 as FAN is postponed… gestures likes this make my day special…”
A source close to Yash Raj Films also said that director Maneesh Sharma will be working closely with SRK’s award-winning Red Chillies VFX to create some never-before-seen visual effects in FAN.
Shahrukh Khan will be playing a double role in a film.
As of now, YRF hasn’t announced a new release date for Fan. But it will be interesting to see if they target the Christmas weekend as Rohit Shetty’s film with SRK is yet to go on floors.

From the reports it suggest that FAN has a strong script and content rich film…so it will do good even in non holiday…a holiday release will be icing on the cake…:-)

Great news for Akshay! Very happy to see Brothers release on holiday. SRK should release FAN on Christmas. Yes, FAN might not earn as big as Shetty’s film, but i expect it to be a great film and good films deserve holiday releases. Waiting for both FAN and Brothers!
Oh no…very bad news
Would be happy to see SRk release FAN on Christmas and thrash Bhansali like he did with Sawaariya. Fan has both superstar power and looks rich on content while Bhansali is the same cliche working with a flop actor. Won’t say anything about Tamaasha (Imtiaz is one of my favorites) but it’d be great fun to see Bhansali’s cliched project being thrashed badly by SRK!
As far as the content is good release date won’t make much of an impact

I think SLB is a skilled director and his films are well-shot! Although,sometimes some emotions in his films look unrealistic and a bit manipulative!

Ram Leela and Sawaariya were torturous if you ask me. Yes, Devdas, HDDCS and Khamoshi were great films BUT Bhansali has backed regressive films like Rowdy Rathore and I hate him for that.
Calling a woman “mera Maal” is down right intolerable and I blame the producer and director for making such an awful film. Bhansali is good at mounting sets but this pseudo-intellectual is making the same films for all his life, either a handicap story or a failed love story. And mind you he has made 6 films one after the other following same format.

Really? Have you watched Do Dooni Chaar? One of most realistic comedies written by Habib Faisal, the writer of Fan. Faisal writes ‘realistic’ movies unlike Bhansali’s so called “grand” cringe-fest. Guzarrish was his last film I enjoyed (strictly due to Hrithik) before Devdas. Mark my words, Fan will be the next Chak De for Srk.

As I predicted first Fan has turned into a sequel to Billu…! Plot has got lost like Anurags Bombay Velvet n entire movie needs to be reshot so it seems…!

Looks like an appropriate sequel to the ATBB ‘billu barber’, instead of naming the movie as usha fan it should have been named as ‘billu barber bangaya thullu barber’, lol srk fans are talking about content in his movies, yeah why not because movies like ra.1, donk 2, jthj, ce & hny had the such great contents in them. usha fan being a non-holiday release would definitely do more than srk’s last non-holiday release mnik, so 75 crores tho pukka hei :D
