Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan will be attending the 7th Vijay Awards which is scheduled to take place in Chennai on Saturday.
“Shahrukh agreed to be part of the award function after a representative (seen in the photo below) from Star Vijay team flew down to Mumbai and invited him personally. We are delighted to have SRK at the Vijay Awards” a spokesperson of the awards told reporters.
SRK won’t be performing at the awards show. Instead, the superstar will be giving away a few awards. A source from the channel informs that they have also decided to given Shahrukh a special award and honour him for his ‘outstanding achievement and contribution towards Indian cinema’.

Nd zamana deewana release in 1995 which did better than veergati. Look at Salmans movies all were commercial with good director, big canvace nd expected to do big grosser before its release yuvraj London dreams Salam e ishq jan e man veer chal mere bhai nf many more I m not going back to 90s then list will too long srks have only few flop movie that were supposed to do big. @sht : Excuses, excuses n excuses !!! I am not denying that srk ruled till 2007 or CDI. If you are counting salman’s number of flops then also accept that he has given more Blockbusters (domestic only) than srk. Srk is not on top as used to be. Accept reality n move on !!

@hritik I m not denying Salmans last 5 film earned 1200 cr But same time srks last 4 movies did 800 cr. Which is supposed to be considered his bad phase. And u r talking salman has given bb in different genre, for ur kind info all those were audience friendly every thing is there action comedy romance item song etc. look at srks movies all were classics nd boring. Don2 was song less. Jthj matured love story mink offbeat. Only ra1 had few entertainment quotient. But it was not like Sallus mass oriented movies. I want to ask u one question if salman is that much huge star then y London dreams, veer, janeman, yuvraj flop badly. At least his star power can safely take it to hit status (if not bb) This thing proves that srk is biggest superstar. And HAhk was itself is a big hit movie. It was not bcos of salman. Your statements proves either SB did not promote his own movie or he was over confident that Shahid (no offence to him, he is a rockstar) is bigger star than Salman. JTHJ was released in 2500 screens,competition from sos(which is of typical masala genre liked by illiterate & uneducated masses of india),2 day maharashtra bandh.Also after 10 days of release of JTHJ oscar award winning film “LIFE OF PI” released,after 7 days of that TALAASH released,after 7 days of that K786 released.
ETT was released in 3700 screens, was a solo release,typical masala genre film,released on national holiday(15th August) followed by ramzan EID holiday.no competition from any film for at least 3 to 4 weeks.
Just wait & watch for CE as it will break all records.
