Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, arguably the most successful on-screen couple in the history of Indian Cinema, started their careers in 1992. Shahrukh made his debut in a film titled ‘Deewana’, while Kajol was first seen in ’Bekhudi’.
More than 24 years later, the two will appear in their seventh film together – ‘Dilwale’ directed by Rohit Shetty, which is scheduled for a grand theatrical release during the festive season of Christmas later this year.

It was one of the most underrated performances of 2010s. You just cann’t say he fails only becoz he had done some bad jobs in movies like MPKDH or AMALL. As for comedy, hro hasn’t tried yet. Although, I admit he overacted in Mpkdh, but he was again impressive in the comic scenes of BangBang.

@Navin Bhojpuri uncle: Hahaha.. I have praised Hro’s acting in BangBang you loser, not the film. I haven’t seen any critic saying Hro was bad in BangBang like they(Anupama,Masand,Shubhra Gupta) criticized Amir’s role in D3 and Bhai’s role in many.
As for Kites, each and every critic had said that Hro was SPECTACULAR in that film. Also, that film was nice too. But sadly, such films are not everyone’s(mainly bhojpurians) cup of tea. Obviously Hro’s performance was underrated in that film.
Success of DILWALE is totally dependent on Rohit Shetty.

@sky, iam not the only guy who found overacting in roles like 3 idiots, d3, and rang di basanti you will find many. for 3 idiots, yess i found overacting and i found overacting through the film. in all of those scenes where he over tried to look 21 years old college student. and believe me iam not the only person, there many. and regarding k3g, i don’t think so there was that much of over the top acting in it other than some emotional scenes.

@Sky: Even I had loved her performance at that time. But now when I watch K3G on TV, I found her overacting. But I feel at that time, most of the films used to contain such actings to make the film more entertaining.
@yy: opinion varies. ATM, Romance may not be a huge plus point of Hro, but definitely not his weakness. If it was his weakness, his performance would nevar have been appriciated in romantic films like Kites and KNPH etc. Comedy may be a weakness. But after watching Bang Bang and Kites, I feel Hro can do hollywood type of comedy like Johny Depp does.

I respect you for being a sensible fan but seriously, did you really find overacting of Aamir in PK? To be very honest, PK was Hirani’s most disappointing screenplay. Had it not been the spectacular Aamir khan performance, PK would have sank badly.
The difference I find between between SRK and Aamir is, SRK remains SRK in most of his films. He is just playing a variation of himself without much of depth in characters. He is a superhero, then a Don, then a Common man, then a robber. But apart from Don 2, none of his recent films have any script to even talk about.
When he was in his 30s it looked ‘cool’. These days it looks exhausting. Not just SRK, it happens with almost all other actors. With Aamir I really got pissed off seeing him ham in D3 and Fanna. If you really want to talk about Aamir’s overacting, you should talk about these films.
Films like 3 Idiots, Rang De, PK, resonate between over-the-top and realistic cinema. An actor needs to switch his tone in that manner. Aamir’s goofiness in first half of Rang De or 3 Idiots seems spot on if you look at people around you of that age. Yes he does go ‘over the board’ at times when screenplay falters.
So my point is, Aamir and SRK are both awesome actors. But the recent scripts of Aamir give him the room to show of his acting chops. Watch out for Talaash! Found his subtleness terrific! SRK does great stuff when the script is good. However his typical films don’t really allow him to display any of his talent and he has to play himself because of underwritten roles.

@sss: Hro had won awards for KMG,KNPH and D2 becoz those performances were well-appriciated by critics as well as audience. Also, those acts(specially KMG and D2) are considered as two of the best performances of last decade. But many won’t say the same about Kajol in k3g. Wasn’t there any other actress who was more deserving for that trophy? He was good. But that wasn’t an award-winning performance.
