Shah Rukh Khan took centre stage at the fifth Asian Awards that was held at London’s Grosvenor Hotel on Friday night. The superstar was honoured for his ‘Outstanding Contribution to Cinema’.
On receiving the award, Shahrukh said “I am extremely humbled and honoured to receive this award. I say this very often that my stardom belongs to most South East Asians who reside abroad who have made the Indian Cinema and me known around the world. I congratulate all the winners at the Asian Awards as well.”
“There is so much talent around Asia and so many achievers, whether is was Dr Amar Bose, the Hinduja Brothers or Zayn Malik. I am glad to have been a part of such a wonderful celebration of hard work by people in difference field but similar passion.” he added.

Former ‘One Direction’ star Zayn Malik was also awarded for his ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’.
Shahrukh’s charisma and personality has created ripples on social media websites like Twitter and Facebook.
Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer, Kumar Sangakarra tweeted “Great night at the Asian Awards. So many stars including Garry Lineker and Shah Rukh Khan. Among all the stars at the Asian awards it was obvious that Shah Rukh Khan was the superstar. Incredible presence and humility.”

No star, even as small as Himesh reshamiya or dino morea, has given a less than 50 lakhs film since 2004. Except one… Sarook’s YLJK did 35 lakhs which shows what a small star Srk is.

When we talk about collections irrespective of verdict again you have a problem. First decide are you talking about verdicts or collections? Yes Salman has couple of disaster but he also got highest number of highest grosser for the year, highest number of Blockbusters, highest number of 100 crs movies, 2 movies as Highest grosser of decade compare to srk. Now dont chant about overseas it is nothing if domestic is less than overseas. Only domestic verdict matters !!!!!!!!!!!
