Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan met his old friend and ‘mentor’ Rakesh Roshan at his residence on Monday night. It’s likely that the two met to discuss the scheduled clash between his film ‘Raees’ and Filmkraft’s ‘Kaabil’ during the Republic Day weekend next year.

Khan has previously worked in Rakesh Roshan directed films like ‘King Uncle’, ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Koyla’.
Has Shah Rukh managed to convince the Roshans to move ‘Kaabil’ to a later date? An announcement is expected soon.

If makers of Raees are confident of their product why don’t they go for a X’Mas release this year. Yes there is Dangal but if your product is worthy you could still make good moolah considering the number of holidays that will be there in the first 7 to 10 days during that period. Even with a bad WOM Dilwale made 148 cr with clash and if they think Raees is much better than Dilwale (which I hope it is) and if it turns out better it could easily go towards the 200 cr mark I feel.
As indicine has already mentions in previous q & ans Raees was messed up by excel entertainment as they r producers so pls don’t blame SRK he is just making things right when somebody is not doing right .

Kaabil announced the date first. They should not move it. Raees either clash with Kaabil or move to some other date. Its bad if they force kaabil to postpone…not good for srk himself.

ranbir anf kangana’s movie did 188 and 175 cr. reapectively on post ipl
so if the movie is good raees would easily do 220-230 cr. due to presence of srk but if the movie is excellent not just good

Don’t know what to say, Raees makers are responsible for whole mess, they have to find the solution themselves. Judging by Kaabil’s teaser and Rakesh Ji’s interviews, it was clear that he was ready for clash. SRK’s gratitude towards Rakeshji in his tweet may be an indication that he has convinced them to leave Republic Day for him, even if they didn’t want to.
I’m sure SRK fans want good release for him after all, but don’t forget Hrithik’s last 2 big films (Bang Bang and MohenjoDaro) couldn’t get a solo release either. They faced clash without EDX holidays, he too deserves a good release date, especially when his movie had booked the date first and they were ready for another clash. It will be more profitable for Raees if they release the movie in 2016, November is still available if not Bakrid weekend in September.

This meeting will clear everything . SRK and Rakesh Ji have a healthy relationship and have worked in 3 movies – Karan Arjun, King Uncle and Koyla . As far as I can assume one movie will make for other . Kaabil will be the 3rd consecutive clash of HR in this decade if happens . SRK has faced 2 clashes JTHJ and Dilwale . SRK is the Co- Producer of Raees so it is quite natural that he will try to convince Rakesh Ji to postpone Kaabil . Nothing has been confirmed so I don’t think HR and SRK fans should overreact . I am waiting for the official confirmation regarding both Kaabil and Raees . As far I know 50 % shooting of Kaabil has been completed . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
