Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan invited by French President

Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aditya Chopra and Kalki Koechlin (of french origin) are the few celebrities from Bollywood who have been invited for lunch with French President Francois Hollande.

The event is said to be private and films will be the topic of discussing.

“The Bollywood celebrities have been invited to have lunch with the President. It is a private event. They will discuss films” a source from the French Government was quoted as saying by PTI (Press Trust of India)

‘Global star’ Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with ‘Ordre des Arts et des Lettres’ in 2007 and France’s highest civilian award ‘Legion of Honour’ (equivalent to Bharat Ratna in India) by the French Government in 2014.

Aishwarya has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival, which takes places in France every year. She was also honoured with the 2nd highest French Civilian award, ‘Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters’.

French President Francois Hollande is currently on a 3-day visit to India. Like US President Barack Obama last year, Hollande will be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi on Tuesday.

  • Shah Rukh Khan’s April release, Fan is one of the most-anticipated films of the year. We have seen two teasers of the film and they were enough to get the audiences all excited for the film.
