Shahid Kapoor’s Shaandaar has taken one of the best openings of 2015. The national holiday factor has helped the film all over, especially at multiplexes where the opening was around the 40-45% mark.
The film is set for a good opening day at the box office. Both Shahid and Alia Bhatt should score their highest first day, breaking the record of R… Rajkumar and 2 States.
It remains to be seen if ‘Shaandaar’ can sustain the level of business throughout the day and possibly even show growth in the evening. The big test for the film will come on Friday, which is a holiday in some parts of the country as the Durga Puja festivities continue. It’s a 4-day weekend for ‘Shaandaar’and the makers would be hoping the film shows good trends over the weekend to recover its high costs

It is also called as Labour day hence majority of Office workers and Factory, mills workers get holiday on this day. About BB, Big boys deserved the big festive releases. Let Akki give a 150-200 crs grosser first then come and complain !!!!!!!!

Gabbar 45% ok bt SIB first day was 20 nd gabbar’s 13 so how same occupancy? ?? Both released in same screens.
Just to show salmans movie above ,u r giving wrong openings % of SIB. .
SIB did 20 on 3000 screens nd bzrngi 27 in 4200 screens means same opening almost .
Pls change it .

@ hritik wel said. Lol. The day any Akshay movies grosses 140-150 or an opening day of 30 crs expect snowfall in Rajasthan. About holiday releases any actor you see is given either (in order ) Diwali Xmas Eid release date that actor must be a strong box office celebrity.
Hardly you see more than 5 current superstar 3 of which are megastar giving these holidays releases. Even Salman and Ajay could give 30 crs opener on 2nd category holiday bumper which is independence day but small actors fans can only dream of that figure. The old man stinks let him just leave the movie industry and give rooms for Varun RS RK and Shahid.
