Shaadi Ke Side Effects has collected Rs 5.45 crore on its first day at the box office. The film has performed well in circuits like Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Mysore, but business from the biggest circuit Mumbai was below-the-mark.
The film took a decent opening of around 30-35 per cent all India, but business was restricted to big cities only. North Indian cities like New Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon were very good. Other major cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai picked up towards the end of the day.
The reports are mixed, which could probably mean that Shaadi Ke Side Effects may not show the huge growth in business over the weekend like Hasee Toh Phasee or Highway. Also, the keenly-awaited India vs Pakistan cricket match could also significantly impact the evening / night shows tomorrow.

@ Aarush Salman and Amir turned downws yash raj early in their career as they did not want to do darr………………SRK who was an unknown took a risk to play an anti-hero at a time when yash chopra last film with anil kapoor was a big flop and yash raj films was in big need of a hit………..he took it up and it became a superhit and impressed yash chopra………………..in DDLJ SRK took another risk by acting with a first time director and movie became ATBB…………………..again when yash raj films were only giving flops/average movies SRK gave them blockbusters with Chak de and RNBDJ………………so as u can see from above it is was relly SRK who saved and benefitted yash raj studio and not the other way around unlike Aamir who inherited yash raj studio and bollywood industry biggest franchise films D3 which everyone knew wud break records once it was at least decent……………………………….Also Kambaqq Ishq and De Dana Dan open excellent not bumper…………………also akki has never given ATBB…………………..a star is not defined by how many bumper openings he gave……………….if this was so wud u say that salman was not a superstar between 2000-2010(before dabanng) as none of his movies opened bumper……..Partner was excellent opening, wanted MSK were good to excellent……………………….no u wud not…………………..therefore SRK and Salman are currently the two biggest superstars in nation and Akki superstar status is currently on the line and if he doesnt deliver this year he will be in big trouble…………….plus SRK has got good opening from 1992-2013……………………..AKKi got those bumper openings after struggling from 1991-2007 wherein his stardom cud not guarantee good openings like SRK and Salman, during this phase he was NOT a superstar and did not get bumper opening soley becuz of HIS stardom………………..only from 2007-2009 he became superstar and hit machine and got bumper openings but then from 2011-present he has no bumper opening as his stardom was hit hard in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013…………….hopefully he will give bumper openings and blockbusters this yr but in the meantime dont downplay SRK who along with salman are the biggest crowd pullers and loved stars in the country……………..
