The ‘Colors Screen Awards’ better known as the ‘Star Screen Awards’, is the third oldest film awards in India (after the Filmfare and National awards).
The 1st Screen Awards was held in the year 1995, when actor Nana Patekar won the Best Actor award for his performance in Krantiveer.
In it’s 18th year of existence, Screen awards began at a time when the two-decade dominance of the Khan’s had just begun.

Did Sunny Deol deserve the Best Actor award more than Aamir Khan did for his performance in Lagaan? While Shahrukh Khan won Best Actor at all other award shows in 1998, his performance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai didn’t win the Screen Awards.

@afraz!rightly said…any southindian actor can act like salman…..but not even big bollywood stars can give 3 such big all time blockbusters in a row like salman !!!!u shud know that salman debut with maine pyar kiya..-biggest hit of the yr.hum apke h kaun-biggest grosser ever.saajan-biggest hit of the year.topthree films of 1999-hum saath saath hain,biwi no1,and hum dil de chuke sanam were the films having salman as the leadrole…..inspite of having so much legal problems and adversities the man came out to be a cha mpion in 2007 with partner……………and after that he is rockinggg…….it was 5th time that he gave year’s biggest grosser with dabbang…..salman is one of the biggest stars today in bollywod——REAL DABBANG……..

i never belived the crediblity of Bollywood awards, apart from national award. its only a few camps o are making these showes and giving out the award to thier puppets. how come a super star like salman hasnot won any best actor award. he is the one bring revolution to box office collection with his every movie. he works we any c grade director and co actors he is nt like gay SRK who works only with his gay buddies……………………….. Salman ur far above these fucking awards.
P.S Salman was the first one who charged award organizers. even now when they approach him he charge 3 times more than other khans though he dont belive in these award he just wana collect money for his charity org

Aamir acted well in lagaan bt sunny created history and acted brilliantly in gadar…so he deserves more…..and akshay acted superbly in bhool bhulaiya still the jury didn’t gave him any awards that’s totally unfair…..
