In a game that has become all about booking big release dates in advance, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has announced his next film for Christmas 2017. His film could be up against Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
Aamir Khan is unlikely to have a release next year, but with Bhansali announcing his film for Christmas, the three major festive dates for 2017 are all filled up.
Two of them taken by Salman (one confirmed, one isn’t) and the other by Bhansali’s next magnum opus – he hasn’t yet announced the star cast of his film or its title.
Update: Aanand L Rai’s next film starring Shah Rukh Khan was also announced for Christmas next year.

Eid is not single release. Salman will clash with Golmaal 4 or Singham 3. Yet to be confirmed the exact one but one of them. Salman is too greedy even at this age!!

So the race for booking festival dates in advance is getting exciting day by day . If we talk about this year then we are still not sure when will Raees release Eid, Diwali or Non Holiday . In 2017 Salman and Labor are coming on Eid which will be produced by Salman Khan . Salman and Rajkumar Santoshi are planning to come together on Diwali 2017 which will be produced by Alvira Khan but it has not been confirmed . For Christmas 2017 RK and Raju Hirani are coming with the Biopic on Sanjay Dutt . Anand L Rai and SRK are also planning to come together on Christmas 2017 in what promises to be a Dwarf Love Story . Now SLB is also coming on Christmas 2017 after the success of BM . So the race will get heated up in the years to come .

I doubt if SLB will continue from where he stops simply because I don’t think Ranbir shares any similarity with Sanjay. Might be wrong but just what I feel. Looking forward to seeing Sos…clash with Salman will always be tough but superconfident Aj will not back off. Anys 2017 will be another year of high level entertainment.

Moreover, Ranbir is going through bad phase….so, its a big question whether he will even be a part of Sanju’s biopic……Also, unlike other genres, biopic is the toughest as no one is completely happy and trying to make all happy can backfire too….look at the Mary Kom movie, what a let down there !!

Now that you have mentioned MNIK, just a few weeks before the release of MNIK, released one of Bhai’j mega flop Veer which earned 37 cr. nett & 57 cr gross WW ???. The movie ended up with the investors of the movie having suicidal tendencies.
Moreover, MNIk was a HIT in India & ATBB overseas recording more than 200 cr WW collections.

I don’t think Salman’ next with Santoshi will clash with Ajay,there are still other good release dates remaining which have not yet been booked.
Salman + Santoshi this one am really excited,coz Santoshi is an amaizing and critacally acclaimed director.
So apparently christmas 2017 has 3 big films,i think one of them will either prepone or postpone,but a clash will surely happen.
Ajay has Shivaay,Badshaho and Remo Dsouza before doing SOS 2, where as Salman has Sultan and Majdhar before Santoshi’s film,i think Salman & Santoshi film will come on Diwali 2017 SOS 2 may come in 2018.
I don’t think SOS 2 will clash with Salman’s film since Ajay has Badshaho and Remo Dsouza’s next 2017 before starting SOS 2,i think it may release in 2018.
