Salman Khan

The first living Asian to have a statue erected in his honor at London’s prestigious Madame Tussauds museum was Bollywood’s old generation super star Amitabh Bachchan. Then it was the turn of bollywood stunning beauty Aishwarya Rai who bought some sparkling Bollywood glamour with the erection of her wax statue. After the beauty it was the turn of Bollywood’s King Khan – Shahrukh Khan who has a huge fan crowd all over the world and has acted in over 50 films.

The latest buzz is regarding the next bollywood star entry. Sources say that, hindi film industry’s HE-Man Salman Khan is all set to make a stylish entry to the coveted portals of Madamme Tussauds. “Bobby Khan, who is in-charge of the Bollywood gallery at the museum, has already spoken to Salman Khan,” confirms Mumbai Mirror Source.

Reports suggest that the wax statue will be ready for display by January 2008 and Salman will personally go to London to unveil the statue.

The source further adds, ” Salman is extremely popular overseas and commands a huge fan following. A wax statue of the star was long overdue. A formal letter is on its way and once the formalities are completed, a team of experts will come down to India for his measurements. They will begin work on the statue, and a big launch will be held in January 2008.” The actor seems to be very excited about this honor.

Will his wax model be neatly dressed in expensive suit or will it be Sallu style – half nude? Wait for the unveiling of the statue. Come back again for more information.
