Acclaimed writer K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, who was the story-writer of films like ‘Eega’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Baahubali’, has confirmed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has agreed to do the sequel of the 2012 classic ‘Eega’.
At BOFTA Masterclass, Prasad announced “I’ve written a sequel for ‘Eega’ and Salman is doing it”
It was Vijayendra Prasad’s son S.S. Rajamouli who directed ‘Eega’ and also the historical blockbuster ‘Baahubali’. It remains to be seen if Rajamouli will be directing Salman in the sequel, which is expected to be titled ‘Eega 2’ or ‘Makkhi 2’.

While i wonder a so called king whose none of the movies are remade anywhere……cuz they are too sugar-coated and already has multiple copied scenes from south and english movies……so, who wants to copy an already kichdi movie. It is just a wish for K. V. Vijayendra Prasad. His son Rajamouli will ignore because he know bhai is not in the same level/ class of Rajamouli. So, Other SRK/ AAMIR types of actor should approached if Vijayendra want his son to be director of the movie otherwise will ignored even though his father.

@Indicine last year after the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan Vijayendra Prasad said in an interview that he narrate another story to Salman Khan which is also based on Humanity and Love and Salman Khan love the story and agree to make a movie on it, is this (Makkhi 2) the same story or different one. Because if that was different story then it means Salman Khan is doing 2 movies with writer Vijayendra Prasad. Plz Indicine can you give clarification on this, plz reply….
It wil be really huge if Biggest star in India and Biggest director in India come together. I really want Rajamouli to work with Salman. But please not in makkhi. It was a good film but it will not suite to our bhai.

@Babaji : I can sense jealousy in your comment. Your one opinion is not a general opinion, though I agree Robot was much bigger in terms of production, cast & budget compare to Eega but if Salman is really doing this then you will see the results !!!!!!!
