Acclaimed writer K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, who was the story-writer of films like ‘Eega’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Baahubali’, has confirmed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has agreed to do the sequel of the 2012 classic ‘Eega’.
At BOFTA Masterclass, Prasad announced “I’ve written a sequel for ‘Eega’ and Salman is doing it”
It was Vijayendra Prasad’s son S.S. Rajamouli who directed ‘Eega’ and also the historical blockbuster ‘Baahubali’. It remains to be seen if Rajamouli will be directing Salman in the sequel, which is expected to be titled ‘Eega 2’ or ‘Makkhi 2’.

Great news from responses of readers. Am not too much into south movies but the few I watched must say despite their exaggeration, honestly their special effects is very good.
Yes I heard of Vijaya prasad.. Sept 22 2015 he came out saying he is directing Amit Sir and Ajay Devgn next…now Salman Sir. Well I hope he does both of them. Though for Big B and Ajay they are suppose to commence shooting by August. So most likely he will be working with the trio. Salman own will definitely carry the higher buzz… No doubts… I saw a glimpse of Maakhi and must say the effects were awesome.
Salman has some good projects ahead… Market value definitely is shooting up…fingers crossed..best of luck Mr Handsome!!

ROBOT 2.0 is a much bigger film than Makkhi 2. Not every film will be Bahubali.
Makkhi was a nice concept but the film was way too long n boring in parts.I watched it in theatre.
Don’t think it has a potential to collect huge!

I never heard a sequel of a south movie to be in Hindi!
There is no Hindi movie as a remake of makhhi it was only dubbed in hindi just like many others
For example
We have 2 Singhams one in south and the other in hindi
The tamil singham was also dubbed in hindi just like makkhi. And there is an officiall remake too for singham in hindi .sigham 2 the sequeal also came in both languages but wasnt the same story! (Not a Remake as first part).
So now . If makhhi 2 makers making the sequel for a south movie in Hindi .Can singham original makers in south make sigham 3 in Hindi ? Not related to rohit Shetty’s singham?
Same goes to ghajni. Bodygurad. Wanted
