Southern filmmaker Susi Ganeshan, currently busy promoting his debut Hindi film “Shortcut Romeo”, says his next venture will be a superhero film and he wants to cast Salman Khan in it.
“My next film is a superhero action film, which will be in 3D. The script is almost ready and I want to cast Salman Khan. It’s a larger than life character and Salman is one of the actors who can pull off this role,” Ganeshan told IANS.
The film is tentatively titled “Hutchman”. The director, however, has not approached Salman so far.
“Salman is busy with his films and I have not met him so far, neither have I approached him. He suits the role very well. He is certainly in my wish list. Let’s see how things shapes up,” said the director.
Known for making with Tamil films “Five Star”, “Virumbugiren”, “Thiruttu Payale” and “Kanthaswamy”, Ganeshan has teamed up with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Puja Gupta and Ameesha Patel for his first Hindi movie “Shortcut Romeo”, a romantic crime thriller that is coming out June 21.
If this film happens, it will end Salman’s blockbuster machine status. It will be a major flop and all filmmakers will be wonderstruck with what happened?
Salman in a superhero film is like Jackky Bhagnani doing Don3. Mediocre!! :D
I think Salman will not become Hutchman bcoz he said before that he is happy as Sal man and don’t want to become Superman or Spiderman and also he said that he don’t want to wear underwear over his pants.
This film will make Ra.One look like a classic…..
@JM Salman playing the role of a superhero will surely be better that Srk playing Rizwan Khan in Raavan. :-p
I think its safe to persume that unlike Raavan where Jeevan was more scarier that Raavan thanks to Srks forgetful dialogue delivery Salman bhai as a superhero will be cool, calm and collective when bashing up the supervillain unlike SRK who needed a little kids help to defeat Arjuns Raavan haracter. :-P

@JM srk as superhero in Raavan Returns as Ra.one wasn’t even mediocre as it was simoply cartoonish and made Ajays Toonpur Ka Superhero look like a Disney classic…!
G.waanbe Jeevan was infact more scarier than Arjuns Raavan character so Salman bhai does not need to worry about such mediocrity or comparisons as Im 100% certain bhais character will be ‘Kick Ass Super Dabangg Kool’ and the character will become a franchise in no time.

112 cr in 3 days will be a cakewalk for bhai in afew years time but for Raavan Returns as G.one the Sequel- it will take a lifetime to equal its own collectioms… Lol

salman fans, no need to get hyper, its the truth, even you know the potentials of your star, he can’t play superhero, similarly he can’t do period films or offbeat films too. let him be in his comfort zone that is action and masala .
the one thing i hate about salman fans is they are just so stubborn to accept facts, they just see the name salman and just praise anything attached to it. no genre,no story nothing, they see salman and starting proclaiming it as blockbuster. god please, have some sense, i agree you are salman fans but behaving like this is too immature.

We call a bhai film a blockbuster (before/ during and after release) because it is the undeniable indisputable TRUTH backed up by Real BO Numbers and public demand…! The stubborness comes from srkians who argue about a petty few crores here or there, JTHJ collected 106cr then someone else farcically says it collected 122cr etc etc etc. At the end if the day that nonsense dont matter, it failed to beat Ready, its not a superhit let alone a blockbuster but you srkians are arguing stubbornly about whether the film is a hit or semi hit or average grosser. Its been along time hiding our faces to our western friends that it was this Smeagol who made this crappy film but the world cruelly labelled all of us the same- amateurs trying to make an equal to Hollywood comic hero classics…! :-(
Thank god in the next few years some real well made superhero movies will come out and finally we as a nation can get rid of the staunch smell of Srks Raavan off all of us…! ;-)

@young, thats what you agreed to it, you salman fans by force make salman films blockbuster even if they don’t deserve to, almost all the films were of masala genre and had lots of action. same kind of roles in all his movies, larger than life sabki dhulai karne wala hero, this is getting stale. tell him to bring something new, i am glad that atleast he is doing rajshri’s next and i hope it is not a masala film again.

I wont happen !! Salman is already a superhero for his fans without doing such comic or multimedia movies. Kids already loves him so he dont need to come up with such movies to become a hero or saint in the eyes of innocent kids. Those who understood hit like rest run away to CE pages. :P
@navin..dude,be a srk fan or sallu fan..first knw de truth..ra one ws criticised for its story and direction,de visual effects wer appreciated both by indian and foreign critics..and atleast he has the daring to make a 125 cr movie(sum tell ki even more) and still dnt make any loss..he tried to develop..appreciate him for that..and dude,sallu ki movies bhi hundred crores cross hoti hai na..so he can also make a mega budget movie..actually these big heroes should start making mega budget movies..as small heroes ki movie investment return ni kar payegi..but salman delayed sher khan bcoz dat tiger ws costing sum 50 crs like that..
