His latest release ‘Tubelight’ might have fallen well below trade expectations, but Bollywood megastar Salman Khan continued his streak of 100 crore grossers – as ‘Tubelight’ has become his 11th consecutive film to cross the 100 crore mark, which is nearly two times more than the second best run.
Shah Rukh Khan takes the second spot, he’s been very consistent over the years but his 2016 release ‘Fan’ ended his 100-crore run at 6 films between 2011 – 2015.
Akshay Kumar is on a terrific run, he’s the only actor to deliver 3 consecutive 100 crore grossers in a single calendar year. If he remains consistent, he could surpass Shah Rukh by the end of 2017. He has one more release this year – Toilet Ek Prem Katha.
Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan have delivered three 100 crore grossers consecutively. While ‘Secret Superstar’ won’t be considered an Aamir Khan film, he could extend his run for the longest possible time. He’s also the only actor to cross 250 crore mark, three times in a row and the 300 crore mark, two times in a row.

There is one important fact here, all of the eleven 100 cr grossers of salman crossed 100 crs by both producer figures and trade figures where as Sharukh’s don 2 crossed 100 crs by producer figure and did not cross 100 crs by trade figures BOI.
Update collections of tubelight u FAKECINE. It has not even crossed 100 cr as u did wid raees.
Even so called flop tubelight will do 150 crore plus power of salman and it proves film wasn’t bad just not kind of bahubali or ek tha tiger style pretty much talash style…emotional i think they should have released this movie on 15 august instead of eid release eid slote should have action drama entertainer release only but never the less salman still pulling audiance to theatres for sort of off beat film which is commendable

Joining in the 100cr club is not huge,even south indian movies are collecting 100cr’s.For three khan films if it is disaster also it will collect 150cr easily,collecting 200cr or more is a good collection or atleast it has to do a bussiness of 180cr,always compare with the market and population then decide.

If Salman fan have not watched n still the collection will be around 120 cr it means If Salman comes with commercial movie n his fans come in theatre then what collection will be 1000cr according to the haters.It also means that neutral audience love Salman so much that even for his bad movie they will contribute 120cr money

Lot of people were comparing Tubelight having negative trend but still collecting more than FAN.
Thats rubbish comparison. FAN was depressing thriller. It released 4 month after Dilwale debacle with negative trend during IPL Season. On top of that competing against Jungle Book (187 crore life time )which had extremely Positive word of mouth. Some body is saying FAN released on partial Holiday. tell me which place has holiday for nag panchami. So literally FAN released on non Holiday but still went on to collect 84 crore and 10 million overseas which is much better compared to Tubelight. So if FAN is a flow, Tubelight should be disaster since it release solo with no movie competing with it and that too on extended holiday weekend. People have rejected it outright and avoiding to see it even thought that is the only movie in the theatre.

I and all of my friends have liked it more than bodyguard, ready, dabangg 2, jai ho and even happy new year.
Yes it will cross the collection of jai ho and ready but won’t cross the footfalls of any.
Congrats to Salman. Great achievement. The count will continue with TZH & Dabang 3 (and also further) to make it a minimum 13 consecutive 100 cr grossers. A record which I don’t see anyone breaking for a long time.
TZH Will surely be another huge grosser for Salman. His incredible run at box office is too good to be impacted by one under performer.
Some important official works (for post Eid period). Need a positive mind frame which gets impacted by the continuous negativity around (already started since Tubelight release and expecting it to escalate as JHMS vs TEPK draws closer). Taking a break and won’t be commenting for some time.
Best wishes in advance for JJ, JHMS, TEPK and Baadshaho. Hoping both JHMS & TEPK are 150 cr grossers (looking tough in view of clash but hoping for the best nevertheless) and Baadshaho to be a solid 100 cr grosser.

So it has been confirmed that content is the king. Aamir is genius in understanding the nerve of the audience so he is actually the alpha king of bollywood. SRK and Salman took the risk with non masala movie, they failed. But Aamir is unbelievably consistent since 1947 Earth, lagaan, Dil chahta hain , Taare zameer par, and I am sure Secret Superstar will be added in to the list.
Crazy fan following can give you the initial but taking it forward is the content and reception of the audience. Hope Salman and SRK will improve in that since Akshay has gone ahead of them since he does 3-4 movie a year.
