Salman Khan delivers 11th consecutive 100 crore grosser

His latest release ‘Tubelight’ might have fallen well below trade expectations, but Bollywood megastar Salman Khan continued his streak of 100 crore grossers – as ‘Tubelight’ has become his 11th consecutive film to cross the 100 crore mark, which is nearly two times more than the second best run.

Shah Rukh Khan takes the second spot, he’s been very consistent over the years but his 2016 release ‘Fan’ ended his 100-crore run at 6 films between 2011 – 2015.

Akshay Kumar is on a terrific run, he’s the only actor to deliver 3 consecutive 100 crore grossers in a single calendar year. If he remains consistent, he could surpass Shah Rukh by the end of 2017. He has one more release this year – Toilet Ek Prem Katha.

Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan have delivered three 100 crore grossers consecutively. While ‘Secret Superstar’ won’t be considered an Aamir Khan film, he could extend his run for the longest possible time. He’s also the only actor to cross 250 crore mark, three times in a row and the 300 crore mark, two times in a row.

Check out the list below:

  • Salman Khan (11 films – 8 years – unbroken) – Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Jai Ho, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tubelight
  • Shahrukh Khan (6 films – 4 years) - Ra One, Don 2, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Dilwale (ended with FAN)
  • Akshay Kumar (4 films – 1 year – unbroken) - Airlift, Housefull 3, Rustom, Jolly LLB 2
  • Aamir Khan (3 films – 3 years – unbroken) – Dhoom 3, PK, Dangal

  • Haha… I have never seen our Biggest FAN “Javed” posted these many comments in any of the SRK’s article. But these days he is looking hyperactive and commenting in each n every article related to tubelight. Bro How happy you are.. i think u won’t be this much happy even when srk’s movie become blockbuster. Not only u many people commenting here are SRK’s fans /Salman haters who are disperately waiting from past 7 years to see salman failing. Finally it happened now and they r celebrating.
But the truth is Even with so much negative talk from the FDFS his flop movie collections are higher than many of SRK’s Avgs/Hits/Semi hits. His lowest movie collections are higher than lowest collections of anyother superstar(Aamir talash n SRK FAN). And his best movie collections are only comp[arable with Aamir. So if at all anyone wants to talk abt his stardom, its only Aamir fans and For SRK fans ..NO CHANCE……

    Ranbir’s highest grosser – 180cr
    Ranveer’s highest grosser – 185cr.
    Gigastar Akki’s HG – 130cr…lol!
Yaar pehle tu Kangna/Ranbir ko bash karne ke Kaabil toh ban jaa…. Hahaha

  • Tubelight : 2.3 stars still collecting 130-150 crs…
Fan : 4.5 stars & Hollywood type actions and Good WOM but wrapped under 80 crs…
Raees : 4 stars & out and out maslala with Sunny Leone & Positive WOM and just 120 crs
Dilwale : 4 stars & Out and out masala with high octane actions and Good WOM still 148 crs that too on Christmas (excuse wale BM was 180 so we can call it flop)….

Excuse of clashes… Bang Bang 180 crs with clash
BM 180 crs with clash against the same whose film failed to do 180 crs… Excusewale se Besharamwale mat bano SRK fans… Besharmi ki bhi hadd hoti hai

  • atleast Tubelight with average rating of 2.3 did 100 crs but Dangal with such reviewz wouldn’t have crossed 100 crs and we know the FAN, despite getting 4 average rating from paid critics failed to cross 80 crs. That’s why Salman Khan is called MegaStar of Bollywood.

  • @ tiger, no 140 crore without deepika.then what about dilwale 148 crore.he already crossed 400 crore worldwide.CE worldwide gross was 406 crore.here on indicine talk about indicine’s figure.

  • @javed : Again hiding behind Aamir Khan. Srk is not getting even solo release buddy you worry about that first then come and talk about Salman & his movies.

  • @Prashant : You srk fans deserves an Oscar in hypocrisy. All these years you people have been chanting about Salman’s past life & flops in last decade and if we compare an year old movie you ask to talk about present and last release ?? Lol

Still a #84 crs Fan. Grow up !!!!!!

  • @Sunny toilet : You don’t even have an aukaat to debate with Salman fans forget bashing Salman & his movies. Chaar aane ki murqi baar aane ka masala.

  • Hrithik
You, you evaluate the film only on the box-office … Who are the spectators today? I repeat – Today, 90% of viewers in India and Asia – yesterday’s peasants, urban slum dwellers and their children … The rapid development of the economy has given them a job, earnings, they have increased the cinema audience … But the level of thinking – they are still in the PAST century …. For these viewers PRIMITIVE movies of your idols about the village, fighting in panties, film – animation etc.

  • Hrithik
If Salman is a brilliant actor, why did not the audience, the figures of cinema and culture, notice this for 29 years? 40% of flop films, no awards … Success after 2010, when the city came to work, millions of people from the villages and the number of viewers joined …But the level of thinking behind the material condition of growth – they are still in the in the Middle Ages
