At India Today Group’s Agenda Aaj Tak conclave, actor Aamir Khan was asked about the Khan rivalry between the top three stars in the industry – Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and himself.
To which, Aamir said “I can answer for myself. I don’t have any negative thoughts about competition with anyone and I thank my ammi (mother) for it.”
“It’s not in my nature. I understand that there are people who think otherwise, but it’s not in me to look at another person’s work, and think, ‘How come he did so well? How will I do as well?’ I just don’t feel like this.”
“When I saw Sanju in Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai, I was so happy with his work, or even when I saw Ranbir in Barfi”
Khan was all praise for his good friend Salman.
“Salman is my friend. He is a bigger star than me. When I see him in Dabangg, I feel very happy. Salman doesn’t need to do anything. He is a powerhouse of star power.”

When asked to do a bit of tap dancing, which he has perfected in his upcoming release Dhoom 3, Aamir said he is a very shy kind of person. A fan asked him to show his physique that he has developed for Dhoom, but Aamir refused.
“Salman would have done it both – tap dance and he would have shown his six-pack as well. I am a shy kind of person”

I have gone through comments where some salman fans claim that salman has biggest fan following. This is not first time but many I asked where was his fans during kyu ki yuvraj, jab-e-maan London dreams veer. And all these movies were commercial. Even I agree that movie turned bad but being as biggest star his movies should have open well. See srks movie swades which was complete dry but still manage better collections than gerve and similar to Aitraz. If salman have 60 fans then srk have 100. But salman fans are mad and more rough who breaks chairs tables in theatre so people perception is he has more fans.
Yes, SALMAN SIR is the bigger star than any other actors in India.When it comes to popularity,no one can match him.
everybody here who thinks salman unmatch they forget there is one man with whom everyone competes and try to win whether its amir,salman,hr,akshay or ajay….in stardom he is just ahead…even haters will accept but not AMIR KHAN that he is one and only SRK
@beingsallufan, you may laugh out as much as you want. It is everyone’s as long as one doesn’t turns to be vulgar. I didn’t say CE was BO blockbuster because SRK watched Dabangg 2. What I meant was that he might take some tips as everyone does from one another. For example, when it comes to intensified drama or intense romantic scenes, many might observe how SRK carried that out. Learning from one another is not a bad thing.
@nipun, dear, you agree or not, I see you spreading negativity against Salman on every page. Salman is what he is and portrays so on screen. He doesn’t act or know how to act. That’s one of the reasons why people like him and watch his film. He only acts good in his comeback films like HAHK, Tere Naam or Wanted. Agreed to you that Dabangg2, Ready, Bodyguard were not good films but they entertained people and people like them. But I liked ETT for its action.
Coming to Jai Ho, it will be a good film and will cater both mass and class as its original was also very good.
He has no negative thoughts about anyone and it was his clone who named his dog Shahrukh. It was not his nature to call anyone negative and it was some evil twin who called Salman unprofessional during AAA days.
Aamir Khan has talked about Salman, now his movie promotion is complete. He can’t do without commenting on his more popular colleague.
Salman has aura which is enough to make waves unlike Aamir who has to labour for years and years.

@sht : I can also say where was srk fans during Paheli, Asoka, Zaamana Deewna, Guddu, epic disaster Yeh Lamhe Judai Ke, Duplicate, Oh Darling Yeh Hai India, The famous Maya Memsaab. Why Swades underperformed despite srk’s one of the best performance, where were you n his so called fans? Why did he took so long to cross 150 crores despite having 2 festive release (Ra.One on Diwali & Don 2 on Christmas). Where were his fans then, watching thesr movies on youtube or pirated CDs? I agree srk have more overseas fans than anyone but in India Salman leads as of now. Dont simply talk rubbish, check facts before posting it !!!!!
I love the 3 khans equally. I watched 3 idiots, talaash, dabaang, ek tha tiger, jab tak hai jaan, chennai express and etc and I think all of this movies are amazing in their own ways. But somehow, I got the feeling that aamir might be jealous of srk. Correct me if I’m wrong because I might not know bollywood much. I hope i am wrong though. Like in here, he didn’t talk anything about srk. There is this interview that he praised salman for his bodyguard performance but says he doesn’t know anything about the song chammak challo. (YouTube: Aamir says, Chammak challo kya hai?). He calls his dog srk, he ask srk’s dil to pagal hai banner to be put down while he is performing at a studio as he finds it distracting and there is also an article which I recently read. “Reign of Rahul” where aamir is very cold when asked about srk’s performance in Asoka. I really hope all of this is not true as I will see aamir differently.

Hrithik just check success ratio of each actor in the industry then u will get to know who is biggest star. in domestic its neck to neck but in worldwide its neck to leg for srk.
@hritik just check how many hit and flop both have given since 1993. And 90 periods was worst for any actor no one was giving consistent hit. But srk was more consistent and never saw low phase. Salman was supposed to be another kumar gaurav after 10 consecutive flop. But HAHK saved him. Srk never saw a long draught for hit. His longest draught was max one year with 2-3 consecutive flop. And this was bound in 90s. But salman saw long drought for 3 years. There was no hit betn saajaan to HAHK (not even average success). All desaster with actress like sridevi Madhuri karishma etc.
then biggest drought came in 2000 with huge string of flop there was no hit betn HSSH and MSK from 1999 to 2004. And from 2006 to 2010 (only 2 hits partner and wanted) neither average grosser or big opener. And note that within this period he did more big budget multistarrer like London dreams, jaan e maan yuvraj babul Salam e ishq kyu ki veer etc. and these movies were not like dry movie like swades low budget art movie paheli or long time delayed movie yljk (which started 1995 and released in 2006. And doing 150 cr it’s depend upon how people accepted any movie and salman tried 5 masala movie but couldn’t touch 200 cr srk. Just did one masala with less action and violence still it broke all records. Compare ra1 with veer and who is bigger star. Compare MNIK with London dreams and see who is bigger compare dabbang ett ready with ce and see who is big. Compare don vs janeman and see. compare Mai hoon na vs muzse Shadi karoge and see who is bigger. Compare oso vs partner.
