Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider has been passed by the censor board with U/A certificate. The runtime of the film is 2 hours 41 minutes, which is slightly on the longer side as most films in today’s times are under two and a half hours.
Sources say, the Censor Board of Film Certification demanded 7 cuts to pass the film with U/A certificate.

The film is slated for theatrical release on October 2nd, alongside Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang.

I was not expecting U/A certificate for Haider because i thought Haider would have violence, brutality and Gore but i am happy that it has passed with a U/A certificate . @ Indicine I heard today on E24 that the makers of Haider are planning to postpone the release date because they do not want to clash with Bang Bang . Please confirm if it is true .
nothing against haider. vishal must have made a good film but the egoistic producers picked a bad release date against mammoth BANG BANG! just because of the ego of utv, haider will suffer. it could have been a decent success on another date.

For a good film lenght does not mattar.
I have liked the promos, I might watch it on the first day along with BB. But, not some whether releasing it along with a bigger commercial film like BB is a wise move or not. Yes, it is a big holiday weekend, but there’s still some risk. Audience will have 2 choices in the weekend and some may only preffer one. It’s a lose-lose situation for both the films IMO. It will prevent BB from breaking any record and BB will prevent it from becoming a huge hit, unless BB is rejected. Although , Shahid had said they have nothing to lose, so they are not bothered about it. I also personally feel BB may suffer bigger loss considering its budget.
Anyways, both are completely different films, and both are looking great at was they are supposed to be, one is an action film and other one is a drama. Waiting for them both.
I like shahid but Vishal bhardawaj movies are slow so it better have good pace or else commercially it won’t be a sucess critically no doubts on Vishal and shahid will be good.
Will be a average movie considering box office collection. Could me banged by Bang Bang seriously. Screen counts would be the biggest problem it will face. If content is considered it will be a master piece. Should have been a solo release. Feel bad for Shahid he is just not enough to compete with Hrithik.All the best…..

May be Haider fail to impress audience in terms of boxoffice or content..but in any case it will affect the collections of Bang Bang…so it is a big threat to BB because collection will suffer because of clash…If it receive good WOM then it will effect BB specially in weekdays ans 2nd week

To be frank this clash not going to affect both movies because both movies are made for different audience…So Bang Bang Has every chance of breaking box office records…Haider will work in Multiplexes but will reman avg in single screens…But Bang Bang will get historic opening in both sides due to HR star power who has strong fan base in Classes as well as Masses…And in long run if Haider is good in content then it will collect 50-70 cr at most….And Bang Bang liked by all then Sky is the limit for that….Expecting 250-300 cr…Best wishes for Bang Bang & Haider
