It’s official. After Aditya Chopra, yet another big director in the industry has signed Ranveer Singh. This time around, it’s Rohit Shetty who will be directing the actor who made his debut in ‘Band Baaja Baarat’.
In a statement released to the media, Shetty also announced that the film would feature Tamannaah as the female lead.
“Ranveer’s energy, exuberance and huge popularity make this project more interesting, and Tamannaah is a massive star with South Indian audiences. I really can’t be talking about this. But yes, they are on board. Wait and watch, it will be worth the wait” Rohit said in a statement.
While Ranveer was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, Tamannaah made her last Hindi film appearance in ‘Entertainment’. She was also seen in S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, which went on to be a big hit in Hindi too.
Ranveer has yet another big film in his kitty.
Hope Sanjay Leela Bhansali direct a film with SRK and clash it with this film in 2018 Xmas.

Just because of one Dilwale, Rohit cannot be counted out. He has given many big hits including the biggie CE (which was an entertaing movie) and also broke long held record of 3I.
Rohit and Ranveer will hopefully ensure that the movie is more on the lines of CE rather than Dilwale.
Heroine could have been better. But this is surely another biggie for Ranveer after Befikre.

No problem with Rohit Shetty but the problem with directors like Rohit Shetty is that they are star dependent too (keeping in mind that the audience has now become smart).
Lets take Dilwale for example, if there was no SRK it would have never had a 100 cr week 1 (clash) or a 100 cr weekend (Chennai Express) & consequently the collections of the movies would have been much much less with similar WOM.
Good that Ranveer has become a hot property, but he has a long way to go before he can carry a Rohit Shetty film on his shoulders.

I personally feel Rohit Shetty is losing his touch . CE was pathetic, Singham Returns was pretty average and I have not seen Dilwale and I have no interest in watching it . All these 3 movies are original and were
pretty ordinary . He has made movies like Golmaal, ATB, G3, Singham and BB . All these movies were entertaining and did solid business at the Box Office . Also RS has a craze for flying cars which looks quite odd . Even in Comedy movies he deliberately creates such situations where there is a OTT chase sequence which looks completely fake . So I hope Rohit comes back strong and comes back hard . Entertainment is something which people need but its not like they can see anything in the name of entertainment .
Hope it will be an entertaining movie like Golmaal or Chennai Express and not a bad dream like Dilwale .

LOlL. One good movie with positive reviews by a director like SLB and the most popular actress and top star Deepika, people are calling run-veer a superstar. Without Deepika ranveer’ is highest grosser has only earned 70 cr. He has long way to go. I don’t think befikre will work. It will be another kill dil. Currently no one (I repeat no one) can make an average film even a hit apart from top 4 superstars I.e. Khans and hrithik.
Ranveer should have worked with another director,coz he is in demand anyone would want to work with him.
