The release of Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ has been postponed due to pending work on “world class VFX”. The film will now release in theatres during the Republic Day weekend next year.
“We are working on world class VFX, and it is taking time. An extensive portion of the visual effects work will be carried out in the USA, and our team is working in full swing now. So, we have zeroed in on January 25th, 2018 as the worldwide release date” Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions said.
The sequel to the 2010 film ‘Enthiran’ also features Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who plays the lead antagonist.
The postponement of ‘Robot 2.0’ sets up a direct Diwali clash between Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again and Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar.
For the Republic Day weekend next year, two films have already been announced – Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary and Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chandamama Door Ke. Robot 2.0 is the third and biggest film for the week.

Well for me I think Jtjh won the clash the whole 1 week 2nd week was SoS which I did not really like but it has repeat value. I was upset with Ajay that period but everyone dont want to misuse a golden opportunity and his friends with Shah Rukh now so I have nothing against except he should choose better movies now since he has the talents one of the if not best.
Somebody mentioned Fashion could not dent Golmaal 2 economics. Well Fashion won numerous awards including even few national awards and Filmfare. Pure Multiplex movie and had a better wom than golmaal 2. Experts know that many of us that appreciate true cinema same.

So according to them, Veer Zaara was a thrashed film, had zero star value apart from Shahrukh Khan and what??? A universally loved film, Preity and Rani two of the top actresses those days and the top banner those days with major blockbusters like DDLJ, DTPH, etc with lead actor in the past. While PC was still a new comer those days and Kareena didn’t have a single hit apart from K3G, her career was going nowhere at that time. A film with a bold content based on sexual harassment. Even a kid knows which film to watch that too on a big festival.

And the writer, still includes the particular phrase “Ajay Devgn always had an upper hand over Akki in clashes…” in this section.
We aren’t even talking about overseas. In terms of worldwide, Blue earned more than ATB.
And what is this childish phrase “both films would have earned much more had the clash been avoided” in Diwali 2008 and 2012 columns. How can the writer use such an unprofessional statement? Obviously films lose money during clashes, even the producers know, we are talking about the winners of clashes, not about who the films were affected due to clashes. Even Veer Zaara-Aitraaz lost money, Garam Masala and Don were also affected, Blue would have earned somewhere close to another poor film of Akshay Kambakkht Ishq(47 cr) with solo release.
