Salman Khan’s latest release ‘Jai Ho’ has been received well by the audience in theatres, but the superstar says the box office collections is not matching up to the response the film is getting inside theatres.
“This time we are also confused because the reactions inside the theatres and the collections are not matching up. So it’s very strange thing”
“We have done something different, may be people were expecting a film like Dabangg or Ready.. like a full time pass film to enjoy. Some must have understood that Jai Ho is not that kind of film, this is a serious film with a social message” Salman said.
The actor also reiterated that the blame for the film’s mixed response is on him.
“I will only say that the credit or the blame for my film should come to me and not to anybody else. Perhaps I have failed in bringing in the people”
With statements like these, we wonder why Salman is trying to bring his own film down. After all, Jai Ho has managed to collect around 68 crore in its first 4 days at the domestic box office and should easily cross the 100 crore mark – not too bad for a film that was considered to have opened poorly last Friday.

@laila- you wrong- I never expected Jai Ho to beat Dhoom 3.., if you dont believe me go back over the last few weeks to see articles/ comments but you wont find me saying it would break Dhoom 3’s records
I did say that Jai Ho would crush Crappy Express’ records and for that I feel silly but so what… I will learn to read the mood of the nation better next time but living abroad its tough to register the levels of negativity eminating from Paglapur against Salman/ Aamir but I will endeavour to try harder in future. Name one actor (except Salman) whose last 3 movies have crossed 120 crores at indian boxoffice.
There is no such actor.
But Salman will complete six movies with Jai HO (Remember 6 is double of 3 and noone else even has 3 while Salman will have 6).
You might say none of his movies have crossed 200 crores. But remember you can become first student in the class without getting highest score in any subject if you do very good in all subjects.
@navin,I have seen Maya memsaab full movie it’s not that bad either. It’s art movie .to protray the story effectively ,that scene was necessary. But why u are so interested on bare srk’s butt ????

salman is still the biggest superstar of india.he has given 5 back to back 100cr films.even idustry’s best actor aamir couldn’t mach his stardom.so don’t worry salman haters he will be back with a bang and thrash all records.
Jai ho is a good movie. It’s a shame that people are not giving such a wonderful movie with a noble message a chance. Yet it will definitely be a superhit i guess.
