2014 proved to be a mixed year for Ranveer Singh. While Gunday did reasonably well at the box office, Kill Dil was one of the year’s biggest disappointments. So, 2015 will be crucial if Ranveer has to maintain his standing amongst the most promising young actors in the industry.

The actor is currently doing 2 films, the shooting of Dil Dhadakne Do was wrapped up recently. He is currently shooting for Bajirao Mastani. Both his films have a good release date.

Dil Dhadakne Do (Next Ranveer Singh film)

• Release Date: June 5th 2015 (Post IPL release)
• Cast: Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma.
• Director: Zoya Akhtar

Dil Dhadakne Do is a family drama which is based on a Punjabi family which goes on a cruise trip. Zoya Akhtar is famous for having an ensemble cast and it would be really enjoyable to watch a bunch of such talented actors under one roof. The USP of the film would be the return of Zoya Akhtar as a director after delivering a classic film like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Bajirao Mastani

• Release Date: Christmas 2015 (Tentative)
• Cast: Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone
• Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani was a project that was finally started with the same lead actors as his last film, Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram-Leela. Priyanka Chopra is another inclusion in the film. Bajirao Mastani is said to be Bhansali’s dream film. He had initially written the script with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in mind. The period romance will be made on a mega budget. There are reports that Bajirao Mastani might not release during Christmas.
