Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela has collected around 51-52 crore in its first weekend at the box office. The film was outstanding at multiplexes, single screen business picked up towards the end of the weekend too.
The opening weekend business is the 4th highest for 2013 – after Chennai Express, Krrish 3 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Business through the weekend was around the same level as Deepika Padukone’s first release of 2013 – Race 2.
Ram Leela is almost certain to go past the 100 crore mark. If the film holds up well today (Monday), it could go on to be a much bigger grosser.
2013 has been a terrific year for Deepika, all her releases have been huge grossers. Ranveer Singh’s performance has received tremendous appreciation and he has comeback strongly after two duds in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Lootera. And finally, Sanjay Leela Bhansali too has silenced his critics who wrote him off after two box office failures Saawariya and Guzaarish.

@ranbir kapoor is better than ranvir in every aspect especially acting wise.you guys are blind if you think ranvir is better than y ranbir has gotten consecutive filmfare award for best actor 2 times, i am a SRK fan but i will say that he is ahead of aamir,Salman(who is a joke in acting),and shahrukh khan in acting.

Roshans has spoiled the success of Krish 3 by giving fake collection i think lifetime 180 crore is a very good collection nd 4th highest as well but Roshans lost the respect by playing this dirty game.

Krrish has built a brand with first 2 movies & should’ve crossed 200 crores. cannot compare to Ra.One because Raone 120 crores is first of its kind in sci-fi superhero genre without any brand value and also SRK was never accepted in an action hero avatar.
Roshans faked it all the way with 200 crores in just 7 days garbage. Hrithik is never ever will be that big phenomenon. His agneepath collected 130+ because it was a MASALA remake of fake 1990 Scareface copy.
unless, Hrithik crosses 100 crores without PAPA sr. with originals like JTHJ, 3 IDIOTs, DABANNG, DABANNG 2, ETT, CE, Ra One, Don-2 as a solo superstar, He will never ever be as big as the 3 Khans who are last breed of TRUE superstars.

@Khan : Firstly Aamir was never a superstar till Ghajini & 3 Idiots happened. Secondly,HR has 3 top grossers of the year and 6 BB’s to his name by now. Good enough to qualify as a superstar imo. Of course haters would beg to differ giving rubbish excuses like he does dad’s films,remakes etc. By that yardstick almost all Salman films of late are remakes. Popularity depends on how many people watch your film regardless of whether its a remake or genre or anything else!
@Khan : U can butter the Khan’s as much as possible maybe ‘coz they share the same name as your’s but u cannot deny the fact that a guy with 5 BB’s and 3 top grossers of the year is a superstar no doubt! Now a whole new generation of actor are coming in bollywood khans,Ak,AD are now doing those in which they are best they are not taking risk like new actors and the imp thing is that the directors also want young actors in their movies bcaus they don’t interfare in the director vesion and this happens with each generation when khan’s,AK,AD had came they also try new thing but now they avoid taking risk and also now the vesion of viewer are also changing. Actors like Ranbir,Arjun,Ranvir,Varun,Sushant and many more will take over the bollywood in next 5-8 years and this is not bad bcaus every generation has seen this phase but one thing is sure khans,AD,HR are legends.

Your arguments about remakes and genres and directors etc are futile. By that yardstick an SRK would hardly be this popular had it not been for YRF and Kjo,Salman would hardly be a star had it not been for Sooraj Barjatya in his early days. As for K3,a superhero movie coming from India will obviously not perform well in the overseas markets since they have their own brand of superhero films which are far superior in technicality! That’s no rocket science. Despite that K3 is the 3rd highest grosser globally which is a phenomenal performance and a lot better than SRK’s sci-fi turkey called “Ra.One”!
