Last morning, Hrithik Roshan had tweeted a link with a picture of a Krrish idol made to look like Ganpati. It was a hint that the father-son duo of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik were planning on making the fourth film in the Krrish franchise.
Now, we have been able to get confirmation that Rakesh Roshan has indeed decided to make Krrish 4. The script isn’t ready yet and the film won’t go on floors anytime soon, but the producer-director is targeting the Christmas 2018 weekend to release the biggest superhero film of the industry.
Times Of India also quoted Rakesh Roshan as saying ”When my wife showed me a tweet with Bappa’s picture as Krrish, it reaffirmed my belief that Krrish is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth instalment. Ganesha is also called the God of Auspicious beginnings. I guess this was his way of saying that we have his blessings for Krrish 4.”
If the plan is to release ‘Krrish 4’ during Christmas 2018, it would set up a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film directed by Aanand L Rai – which was announced last week. It’s too early to confirm the clash, because Roshan doesn’t usually start his films before he is entirely convinced by the script.
Hrithik and SRK will take each other on during the ‘Republic Day’ weekend next year when ‘Raees’ releases on the same day as ‘Kaabil’.
The entire Krrish series – which started with ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ in 2003, followed by ‘Krrish’ in 2006 and ‘Krrish 3’ in 2013 has been hugely successful. In fact, when Rakesh Roshan has directed Hrithik, the duo have set box office records. They delivered the highest grosser of the year twice with ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ and ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.
Krrish is d biggest & most successful superhero brand in india…no other actor can claim to be superhero apart from hrithik…poor khans…..thats Hrithik Roshan for u guyz……this announcement have made all hhrithik fans happy…..wish them loads of luck for K4…..bring it on…..
If this clash happen then it is one side clash where Hrithik beat Srk badly…..No doubt that Krish 4 is much bigger flim than any Srk movies……

K4 is anyway bigger and better than that dwarf film…..people will always enjoy superhero cum adventuros cum action film instead of seeing a hero in dwarf role….hehehheheheheh…..too much fun….i want rakesh roshan to stick to Xmas 2018 as its a biggest holiday season and can accommodate two film…..
Although, Anand L Rai’s next, looks good on content, as it is based on a very beautiful novel, and SRK’s holds larger fan following, but Krrish is the only 3 movie franchise whose all parts have been blockbusters (Dhoom was just a hit). It will be huge no matter what. Krrish 3 recorded highest single day ever on its 4th day. Kids absolutely adore Krrish. And, I expect Krrish 4 to have improved VFX as it will release 5 years after Krrish 3, which had good visuals IMO. The plane sequence and climax fight sequence were very well executed, only “manvar” thing left the audience unhappy, leading to comparisons with mutants. Krrish 4 will most likely not repeat that mistake, same with music. Rajesh Roshan said he experienced with Krrish 3, he’ll be back to his comfort zone now. Less cliches will be mostly welcome, and Krrish 4 has potential to be a big commercial as well as critical success like Krrish in 2006. I want it to be edgier than Krrish 3. ALR is one of the best directors in the country, and when he has an actor like SRK and content like dwarf fortress story, it could turn into something magical. But, make no mistake, it is a risky project. It could go either way, either garner appreciation like Barfi or become a laughing stock.
With that said, as a fan of cinema, I’m waiting for both the movies and want the clash to be averted. Both will appeal to kids and family audience, so their target audience is pretty much same and will be divided with the clash. I hope fans of both the fanbase will keep their cool and face the clash in a dignified way. Abusing each others won’t solve the problem.

Rakesh Roshan din even announce the date. There is no need to bash Hrithik for that. Also, clash during every big holiday is a reality now as every actor/director wants best showcasing for their product. Lets not become emotional and personal about it. Many HR fans like me respect and love SRK..

I too am equally excited about K4 but lets not go overboard with this announcement as we know, its a huge project and no one know when this movie will be ready. Also, no need to bash SRK for Kaabil.

This is a googly by Rakesh Roshan to tackle the clash between Raees and Kaabil…It was Kaabil who booked the Republic day weelend in january but Raees makers without consulting them announced the date and clashed and keep begging Roshans to move out…Now when SRK booked christmas 2018 for Anand L Rai film Roshans announces their most ambitious movie and one of the only successful Indian Superhero Movie franchise on the same date….Its like Tit for Tat…No if Raees moves and Krrish4 will also move…But personally i dont think Both movies should clash as both will have budget of around 150-180cr and with the clash they cant maximize profits…Ab aayega maja khel mein…
