Last morning, Hrithik Roshan had tweeted a link with a picture of a Krrish idol made to look like Ganpati. It was a hint that the father-son duo of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik were planning on making the fourth film in the Krrish franchise.
Now, we have been able to get confirmation that Rakesh Roshan has indeed decided to make Krrish 4. The script isn’t ready yet and the film won’t go on floors anytime soon, but the producer-director is targeting the Christmas 2018 weekend to release the biggest superhero film of the industry.
Times Of India also quoted Rakesh Roshan as saying ”When my wife showed me a tweet with Bappa’s picture as Krrish, it reaffirmed my belief that Krrish is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth instalment. Ganesha is also called the God of Auspicious beginnings. I guess this was his way of saying that we have his blessings for Krrish 4.”
If the plan is to release ‘Krrish 4’ during Christmas 2018, it would set up a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film directed by Aanand L Rai – which was announced last week. It’s too early to confirm the clash, because Roshan doesn’t usually start his films before he is entirely convinced by the script.
Hrithik and SRK will take each other on during the ‘Republic Day’ weekend next year when ‘Raees’ releases on the same day as ‘Kaabil’.
The entire Krrish series – which started with ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ in 2003, followed by ‘Krrish’ in 2006 and ‘Krrish 3’ in 2013 has been hugely successful. In fact, when Rakesh Roshan has directed Hrithik, the duo have set box office records. They delivered the highest grosser of the year twice with ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ and ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.
Hrithik’s acting is still top of theleague and no competition for these other oldies in Bollywood and far greater than any actor in the current era in Hindi cinema. Hrithik’s acting inMohenjo Darois award worthy, not fit for Bollywood’s low standards! Hrithik’s career best performances in Guzaarish, Jodha Akbar and Dhoom 2 are still better than any acting performances from thiese current Indian actors. Hrithik may not lead or dominate the political stage in Bollywood, but he sure is a master classActor who has the perfect package ie acting, dance, height, body, looks, personality, skin complexion, dress sense, character, sense of style and humour.Hrithik Roshanis Bollywood’s best asset, don’t take him for granted! Salman is undoubtedly the biggest star right now, as everybody thinks he will have a release on Eid 2018. Aamir is coming on diwali with Big B. So Christmas is slated for clash. I don’t think Ajay’s SOS will release on Diwali 2018 but if yes than it would be an interesting clash too.
Among srk vs Krrishh 4, Hrithik will have an edge because of franchise factor but srk fan following is very strong too.
Bollywood is seriously going through worst phase of recent times. Big actors are targeting edx with their high budget movie. Akshay targeting republic,independence day and post IPL with his medium and low budget films. Remaining time we are having no good big films.

I do not like SRK and have no respect for Hrithik, but if a Clash happens, I do not envy the fans of SRK, a lot of dirt and negativity will write fans Hrithik against SRK, his film and his fans, it is checked on Akshay and Rustom I such negativity not seen even by Salman fans!

I am really happy to see K4 in the making . Krrish is one of the biggest franchises in Bollywood and the Combo of Hrithik and Rakesh Ji is exceptional . They have a terrific record with each other . So Kaabil and K4 next 2 movies of Hrithik will be with Filmkraft Productions . I hope they have a solid script with a evil villain and top notch VFX . With clash or without clash K4 is one of the biggest contenders for the HGOTY 2018 . K3 was not as engaging and entertaining as KMG and Krrish . After the failure of MD Hrithik is taking his decisions wisely and I am really happy to see this . As far I see Kaabil will be the only release of HR in 2017 as K4 will take a lot of time with Pre production, Shooting, Post production, VFX and Special effects . If the clash between Raees and Kaabil is averted than there is a possibility for one of these movies to have a solo release . I am also waiting for the announcement of the other lead actors . Kangana and Vivek will not be a part of K4 . Priyanka might continue as Priya Mehra but it is too early to assume anything . Salman and Aamir are ruling this decade. While Salman is churning blockbuster after blockbuster with his every release, Aamir has churned out all time blockbuster with all time grosser in domestic and overseas.
No one targeting them due to their unique hold at boxoffice. While Salman enjoy the hardcore fan following in major markets in India with Family following, Aamir comes with his stardom multiplied with the choice of his films who command the trust of audience. They are in different league in this decade.
Salman has brilliant 2010-2016, Aamir had great 2006-2016, where 2008-2014 is simply unparalleled. But Salman came really strong in last 2 years with brilliant movies like Sultan and BB.
