The craze for Salman Khan has reached insane levels in the Hindi Film Industry, but even that pales in comparison to the kind of insanity and sheer craze that only a Rajnikanth film can generate.

AirAsia, a budget airline, has arranged special ‘Kabali’ flights from Bangalore to Chennai. It will carry about 180 fans of the superstar to watch the film on the day of its release. The menu on-board includes some of Rajnikanth’s favourite food items.
A woman, who claims to be the biggest Rajni fan in the world, has designed sarees with Rajnikanth’s face on it. She’ll be wearing the saree while watching the film on Friday morning.
Luxury Hotels in Bangalore and Chennai have organised special screenings of the film at their property. Tickets are said to be priced between 1000 – 2000 rupees.
Another crazy fan of the superstar has booked the first 10 shows of the film – starting with the first show on Friday all the way to the last show on Saturday – he’ll be watching all of them!
Since the film is about the working class, a Rajnikanth fan club will be distributing welding glasses, helmets and gloves to people who are in need.
While Bollywood stars are known to fight it out for holiday weekends, a Rajnikanth film release automatically becomes a holiday for a lot of people in South India. Quite a few offices across cities in Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh will remain shut on Friday to celebrate the release of Kabali.
Quite obviously, the advance booking is beyond extraordinary. Trade sources say, more than 80-85% tickets for the entire weekend has been sold in advance in Tamilnadu.

But movie will be huge bomb for Distributers…It was the same story for all his recent movies. Producers will make money. All these hype and promotions will be there for 1-2 days , After that nobody will be there in theaters

Rajnikanth is way ahead of SRK… He’s a global Indian star in the truest sense, right from the US to Japan (where his movies are a mass appeal)… I have seen great enthusiasm in the gulf also, Almost all of the shows are completely booked for today till saturday (it releases today in UAE).

Rajini cannot be compared to any Indian actor especially with the success of actors who stormed box office in last 7 years or even 10 years. His age is 66 and can you imagine any other stars creating such hysteria?
Just want to remind you all that fame in North alone does not decide one’s stardom. he is beyond that. Just search what his movie ‘MUTHU’ did to Japanese people.

I’m a die hard fan of one of the Khan but honestly I cannot compare the craze that Rajini generated with anyone. He is the only one in today’s Industry who can drive even the oldest generation to theaters. My grand pa who was at 80 came with me to watch Shivaji Movie. I am sure if he was with us even today, he would have liked to watch Kabali.
And above all, no one in the industry can match with his simplicity and modesty. He is such a GREAT man to be proud of beyond the contribution done to films.

And for the people who are saying Rajni is just a one state star or a South star….I am putting an open challenge for you….Can any of your favorite multi-state star’s or all India star’s movie collect even half of what Kabali will be collecting in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam….? @Rishi He has made a career in Kollywood with his sheer hard work and represents Tamil cinema in general.He may have been born in Maharashtra worked as a bus conductor in Bangalore but that doesn’t mean we can’t adore and feel proud of his achievements.

@xzone This man xzone seems pretty uptight after seeing the collection of Sultan. Before its release, he was like this will be a disaster and all. Now after all these collections, he is asking Salman to come out of comfort zone and release his film to other dates. By the way, EID is not something he won in a lottery. He earned the position with back to back blockbusters. And It’s not that, other cant release their movies on the same date. Who is stopping them? Why is SRK struggling to get a solo release? It’s because today no one is afraid to clash their movies with him. If anyone dares to challenge Salman on Eid, they are welcome too. People who spend money on their movies know it’s a suicidal.

Hahaha… Blabbering on others festive releases! While your own duniya ka sabse bada superstar hasn’t released a single movie out of non festive weekend in last 6-7 years. While Bhai has atleast dared to release a few movies on non holiday period (Ready, Jai Ho etc). This kind of hypocrisy is called Ulta CHOR Kotwal ko Daante!!

Alwayz for rajnis movies fans and distributors do more promotional gimmicks but last2 rajni movies were c-grade and flops….only Tamilian owned companies in Bangalore r giving holidays and organising screenings not all organizations… But nobody can match Stardom of salman bhai…last 6years all movies were big succes
