Rajnikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ was one of the biggest disasters of 2014 and the distributors, who claimed to have suffered heavy losses, got together to protest outside the superstar’s house.
After months of protests and media coverage, the issue with distributors has finally been resolved as Rajnikanth agreed to pay a lump sum amount.
“Rajni sir paid the amount to producer Rockline Venkatesh and requested him to settle the losses of the distributors. While it’s not known how much he paid, but the distributors have agreed to call off the protest” a source close to the actor said.
‘Lingaa’ distributors claimed to have lost around Rs 35 crore after the film failed to live upto its pre-release hype. After a good start at the ticket window, the film crashed at the box office during the weekdays.
Directed by K.S. Ravi Kumar, ‘Lingaa’ also starred Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty.

As next SRK – Rohit film doesn’t have Rajni Sir , so this film can’t break the record of our Bhai’s MARIGOLD , which is 1 crore .

Exclusive – Shah Rukh Khan in talks with Holiday, Ghajini Director A R Murugadoss for a Big Original Action Film; Movie might go on floors in 2nd half of 2016.
Action seems to be the genre which has appealed the most to Shah Rukh Khan. The actor who is currently shooting for a action packed schedule of Fan, is soon going to start shooting for Dilwale which is yet another action packed entertainer.
Now we hear that the actor is in advanced talks with A R Murugadoss for a Action Packed Film. A source close to the development revealed –
“After the success of Ghajini and Holiday, Murugadoss Sir has wanted to make an original film in Bollywood. He has been thinking of an plot for the film since a long time and finally has come up with an interesting concept which he shared with Shah Rukh Sir recently. Shah Rukh Sir loved the plot of the film and has asked Murugadoss Sir to develop a full fledged script for the film. Shah Rukh Sir has promised to be a part of the film once the script is ready however the film might not go on floors any time soon as Shah Rukh Sir is busy with Fan, Raees and Dilwale where as Murugadoss Sir is working with Sonakshi Sinha on Akira. The movie will go on floors earliest by June 2016.”
Like all other films by A R Murugadoss, this film too will a strong content loaded with a lot of action. The movie will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s home production – Red Chillies Entertainment.
