Eid and Christmas are undoubtedly two of the biggest weekends that we have in the year. It’s becoming a habit for people now to save money and wait for the event films that release during the festive weekends.
How do the last two major releases during Eid (Sultan) and Christmas (Dangal) match up to the combined business of Raees and Kaabil. Check out the table below:
Note: The Republic Day weekend is not known to deliver big grossers at the box office. The highest all-time grossers of January are Airlift (129 crore) and Agneepath (121 crore). Raees is expected to top January inspite of clash.
Raees, Kaabil and Dangal had one major holiday each, whereas Sultan had two partial holidays.

Today’s collection of Raees is looking around 17 or 18 crore which is a big growth extended Weekend will be around 97 98 crores which is outstanding with clash.

First both sultan and dangal enjoy free run without competition in two of the biggest festive weekend other hand both kaabil and raees eat each others business also sharing half screen in that case one is fighting with other who did 26.30cr and second fight other who did 18.67cr so this is enough to tell you that you can’t compare these movies

That was a sarcastic comment for this website, don’t you read the last line that Jo stardom ko paani pila de WO Aamir khan h. The fact is that Aamir choices are way different than the rest and on first instance his films not even looking appealing outside the class audience like PK and Dangal, so when these films not open big pan-india, these kind of sites think Aamir is not a big crowd pillar. With Ghajini and D3 he had proved what he is capable on sheer boxoffice draw. His next TOH (assuming highly commercial) will show what is called opening? Could be first film to open close to 50cr.
