Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is one of the biggest releases of the year for several reasons.
1) Its Shahrukh Khan’s first release since the blockbuster Om Shanti Om in November Last Year.
2) 3rd movie directed by Aditya Chopra after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein. Its over 8 years since Adi’s last film.
3) Yashraj and SRK have a 100% record. All movies in which SRK and Yashraj have come together have been runaway hits. Chak De India, their last, was a epic blockbuster.
With Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, we are starting out a new feature on the site called External Reviews. Each Movie will have a dedicated review page, which will list every single credible review on the internet.
Currently, the only review out is from Shahrukh Khan’s fan site (shahrukhkhan.org). Following are some of the key points from the review (Note – May not be completely true and could contain spoilers)
– Kajol has a special appearance in the movie and so does Rani Mukherjee.
– There are plenty of references to DDLJ.
– The review has high praises for SRK and calls it “one of his best performances ever”.
– Goes as far as to say “the movie would fall flat on it’s face if it wasn’t for SRK and Aditya Chopra.”
– On Anushka Sharma’s performance “Anushka Sharma looked very pretty and even acted very well. There’s not much to say about her apart from that. She dances really well and compliments SRK’s performance to the max, especially during the second half.”
– The review also praises every other aspect of the movie and rates it 9.5 on 10

Fathiya! I have seen u the most foolish grl in my whole life. I said that i liked the story of rab ne not the srk. he was looking 98 yrs old man in the movie. I liked the acting of Anushaka sharma. Srk is a old man.Akshay is damn smart than that foolish srk. And yes i will surely build a statue of akshay but first go and clean the flush of srk than i will……… AKSHAY IS A KING!
PUNJABIS ARE THE KING OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!
All the SRK haters, outhere, no matter how much u whine, he will still remain the king of Bollywood, and the fact that Bollywood is so recognized today, is all becoz of King Khan, and no one has ever achieved so much as he has in so short career, and i’m sure there is more to follow. Moreover, just recently, he received the very prestigious title “Datuk” from the Malaysian Government, now he is Datuk SRK, got it!!
Ragas i think that ur fathiya!!!!!!! Am i right??????
average movie.
fundamentally flawed in many ways. a time pass movie if anything.
shah rukh khans portrayal of the raj character is way too loud and irritating and childish. very bad acting. could have been done in a different way.
his portrayal of the husband was good.
i expected a lot more than this from a talented director like aditya chopra. very dissapointed. the script is flawed in many ways.
the movie does have some good moments, but overall it is not a good movie.
the movie starts off really well, and has aditya chopras stamp all over it. it is almost like you are watching a classic, and starts off really gripping and enjoyable. you get the feeling this is going to be a good cinematic experience, you are watching a classic.
but as the movie progresses, it becomes absurd and annoying and turns into a third rate movie. almost as if aditya chopra did not direct the rest of the film, but someone else did.
why did you spoil the film aditya ?
anyway, not worth spending your hard earned cash. unless you have nothing better to do.
save it for ghajini instead.
my rating 6/10.
Bakwas Baswas Bakwas movie.
Indicine Team: you’ve to watch Rabne Bana de Jodi again, it’s just great.. I saw it already twice in cinema and I didn’t hv any plan to watch it again these days but after sometimes, but I was in a mall today, and saw the poster, the time was convenient for me to watch it again.. I couldn’t risist watching it again, for the 3rd time.. I don’t care if other people loved it or not, I don’t care if the movie was a blockbuster or was average.. I just don’t care.. what I know that it’s shahrukh’s best best movie for me, it’s his best performance so far and he derserves to receive the best actor award for his role.. most of people who didn’t like it actually didn’t understand the movie.. Shahrukh wasn’t overacting at all ( and if u just watch it again, and on a big screen and concentrate on every sinlge dialogue in the movie you’ll get to know that shahrukh wasn’t over acting as Raj) he was trying to be (macho) which he couldn’t be and didn’t know how to be.. he was just following what his friend was teaching him.. therefore.. some audience thought that he was overacting!
And.. Anushka deserve to get the award this year more than Asin.. Asin was only a sweet and funny girl in Ghajini, but Anushka proved herself in some difficult scenes as a good actress in Rabne..moreover, she’s cute, innocent and loveable but Asin isn’t that much.. I don’t know why I didn’t like her!
Indicine Team: Please watch it again and write a new review for the movie
I don’t see what this fight is about akshay kumar and srk. I mean come on people rnbd was a great movie and I also loved Singh is Kinng. I kind of do agree that over the last few years akshay kumar has emerged a much stronger actor than srk, yeah well that’s nothing to be surprised at. We all know how bollywood works, and the indian movie audience is “out with old and in with the new”, although I don’t always think that is right. Now I don’t want anyone saying I’m being biased I’m punjabi myself. I just watch a movie and forget about it, its just entertainment and nothing to do with the real world, I don’t know why so manyh people take actors and some movies so seriously. I just had the chance to see cc2c and I didn’t like it all, so what that doesn’t mean all of akshay kumar’s movies are bad. I personally don’t get carried away by all this glamour and unrealistic world of entertainment so I would just suggest that we stop taking these actors so seriously and just chill, watch a movie if you like it fine, if not then not simple as that.
Raj you barking dog, stop telling others what to do or think everyone has got a right to voice their opinions, if people want to watch rnbd jodi that’s up to them, and no one wants to watch your freaking ghajini, I’m not surprised and nice simple good movie like rnbd jodi won’t appeal to a confused desi like you, but one day when your old an gray you’ll value that movie more than that other crap.
Great blog post. Thanks Again. Want more.
