Shahid Kapoor finally has a box office success to his credit after 6 long years, as his latest release R.. Rajkumar has sustained well and also passed the Monday test at the box office.
The film is rock-steady at mass-centres, with business from circuits like Mumbai, CI, CP, Bihar and Rajasthan being the major contributors to the 5.25 crore Monday business. Multiplex business at cities witnessed drops in the range of 50-55% on Monday.
The film could now collect around 48-49 crore in its first week and cross the 60 crore mark by the end of its second weekend.
Not many films in the last one month or so have had open weeks, but with R Rajkumar holding up well, it could take advantage of the open second week as there are no major releases this weekend.
