Priyanka Chopra, who has worked with Yash Raj Films in Pyaar Impossible and just signed Gunday with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, was heartbroken when she heard of Yash Chopra’s unexpected demise.
As a mark of respect, Priyanka, who had planned to celebrate the success of her debut single ‘In My City’, cancelled all plans.
She tweeted “Will NOT be coming to celebrate My Music Single @ Infiniti Mall, Malad (W) today at 3.00 pm! My apologies but celebrations are not in order”
Later in the day, she also paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary director “I didn’t even work with him.. never really spent too much time either.. but whatever lil I did.. his hearty laugh and baritone ‘beta’ and our common love for food was what ill always remember Yashji for.. His random phone calls just to appreciate some work that I may have done or just a few weeks back.. asking if I’m coming to YRF to shoot anytime soon.. I shud drop in n say hi.. wish I had.. I’ll miss u Yashji.. for all the love u gave me.. even though I hardly had a connection to u.. ur warmth will always be a part of everyone whose lives you touched.. Jab Tak Hai Jaan…”
